The most upsetting war, emotional gallery. Everyone should visit it, i would air the "Miss Sarajevo" in every highschool. Even that i live close to Serbia, i could understood only here how huge crimes happened in Jugoslavia.

I was in Sarajevo for three days traveling solo, and made a trip here. The exhibit is moving beyond words. It speaks a level about the transgressions of the worst kind of criminals in history. What you see and experience in this exhibit is hard to capture anywhere else. This museum helped shape my perspective on the city and the region, and I think painted a more accurate color of the city, beyond all the tourist-y attractions and events. But this is also the kind of experience I enjoy too.

I wish I could go back, just to walk through the exhibit and get a glimpse one more time. If you are visiting Sarajevo, please consider adding this to your itinerary.

Must in Sarajevo.
Ended up spending two days for such a small gallery but Wa worth every bit of it. Quite a dedication by the founder/photojournalist Tarik to create the space to share his work of many years.

A very powerful gallery with technically brilliant photography. Not suitable for children. Recommend the audio guide, and leaving enough time to watch all of the videos.

Great museum to understand the history about the war. It could be a bit impact but very educative. Be aware that you will need some time to read everything (if you are really into). It also includes a documentary.

You can visit this museum in 2 to 3 hours to take in all of the content. But you'll need the rest of the day to digest the information you've learned. It's a remarkable history lesson.

The museum focuses on the massacre that took place at Srebrenica in 1995. We got the audio-guide (you must get one!) from the reception and spent more than two hours inside this museum. I recommend everyone who visits sarajevo to go to this museum. I don't want to say too much what you will see because you really should see it yourself.

This exhibition concentrate on the genocide of Srebrenica on the 11th of July 1995. You can get a video guide with headphones. I really recommend that because you can get extra information and back stories of the photos from the photographer. There are a movie as well about this day and another one which captured during the siege of Sarajevo. You can also watch interviews with some of the survivors. Really stunning but well organized exhibition

The hardest part is to accept what you're going to see. But it's one of the best war museums I've never been to.
It's not for everyone, but if you are a recent history lover you cannot miss it.

This is beautiful yet dark and confronting gallery. Take your time with this place and make sure you get the audio guide and follow the narration of each photo.

Despite its relatively expensive entrance fee, the gallery is certainly worth it. Entrance costs 12KM (approx 6 euros) and you also have the option of an audio guide for an additional 3KM (approx 1,50 euros.)
As soon as you enter the gallery you're confronted with the names of the people who have fallen during massacre that occurred in Srebrenica. The gallery shows everything from the suffering of the Bosniaks, to the apathy shown by the Dutch UNPROFOR soldiers who were supposed to safeguard the Srebrenica "safe-zone."
Aside from Srebrenica, the siege of Sarajevo is covered here as well. The gallery also plays various documentaries that give good insight about what happened during the war. I especially liked the Miss Sarajevo documentary, since it really showed how the people of Sarajevo actually lived besides just surviving. Everything from day to day survival, to night life and the people's dark humor and sense of irony during the war was there to be seen.
Along with the historical museum and the Tunnel of Hope, this is a great place to gather some substantial knowledge about what happened to the war.
