Bosnian contemporary art at its best

A small but nice collection of pieces by Bosnian artists. There are also changing temporary exhibits: when I was there it was "The Vanity of Small Differences" by the British artist Grayson Perry, which I enjoyed quite a lot. The National Gallery is well worth a visit for any art lover.

Placed in a historic building, gallery offers modest collection of chosen artworks, occasionally hosting exquisite temporary exhibitions, ranging from Bosnian to established foreign artists.

The gallery is nice but average. You can see permanent exhibitions of the local paintings. When we visit there were two topics. Intimacies of rooms and a local painter's work. They are about to have a grand opening of another painter that day. Some of the paintings were really exciting.
