  The Cathedral Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was built in 1890, and consecrated in 1891 by the Metropolitan Georgi Nikolajevic.
  
  The temple was badly damaged and desecrated in 1941. by the Nazi Germany.
  Partially updated 1969/70. and 1985/86. years. By creating the diocese and obtaining the title of the cathedral, there was a new impetus.
  In the period 1991-1994, during the Episkop Chrysostomos, the temple was completely restored and sanctified on July 17, 1994
  On September 15, 1995 and during the following years, until 2001, the temple was severely damaged and desecrated by the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina of Muslims(Armija BIH).
  Reconstruction has begun since 2001/02. year since the temple was partially renovated. In 2004, the blessing of the bishop of Bihac-Petrograd, Lord Chrysostomos, was painted, the south and north side of the interior of the temple by the famous academic painter, Mr. Michael Rakite.
  
  In 2008, the facade of the temple was reconstructed and electrification of the bells was done. In 2008, on the blessing of the Serbs from Australia, the temple received a copy of the Trojeručica icon
