  nice cozy bar, sometimes it hosts live shows.. nice place to kick back and enjoy a beer.

  Shakespeares is a Baku staple, having been in business a long time. It is a pub with a menu larger than most pubs. A good mix of American, Mexican and Indian meals. Their steak is amongst the best in the city and at about half the price of the steakhouses. Excellent Indian food. Chef gives a choice of spiciness based upon a 1-5 rating I go for the 7 and find it to be to my outrageously spicy liking.
  
  Staff is generally attentive and good at keeping your glass full not very common in Baku. Friendly and helpful.
  
  Downsides the cigarette smoke is unbearable some nights. If there is a female patron, she is likely working but working girls are not free to be obnoxious so it is under control. Mixed drinks this is not the place for it. Stick to beer.
  
  I enjoy Shakies for a couple if hours and find it relaxing beyond that the smoke is a bit offensive.
  
  Probably not a couples or ladies night out place but guys looking for a night out with friends to prep for the nightclub, it is perfect.

  Nice place for early birds, one can have a lavish breakfast at early hours ooens at 7.30 am daily.

  Loved this place and they loved us!
  Stayed open till we couldn't stand any longer or was it until they couldn't stand us any longer? One of the two!
