One of the most interesting architectural design I have ever seen. I arrived here early in the morning so without tourists, I could easily admire the fluid shape of the museum, within the light of sunrise, if felt surreal and picked from imaginary scenery. Designed in 2012, the building has a futuristic vibe and it is a must do if you are in Baku.

Mind blowing architecture by Zaha Hadid. Both exterior and interior.
And the concerts that are held in the hall are always surprisingly good

Gorgeous architectural delight to feast your thirst of urban beauty. Make sure you bring wide angled lens to capture the entire structure. Night view is better than daylight, in my opinion. The place will also make a great spot for photoshoot.

The Heydar Aliyev Center is a building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan, designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003.

It has been completed on May 10th, 2012 and it considers Azerbaijan's Amazing Transformation, one of the main attractions for tourists and has also become a symbol of modern Azerbaijan.

Best time to visit and see before the sunset for amazing pictures.

A very amazing architectural building, filled with historical items. We took a 1:30 hours tour going through 4 floors showing different items starting with the country map and traditional customs and cloth on the 1st floor, followed by Geometric designs on the 2nd floor, beautiful dolls and puppets on the 3rd and Azerbaijani women dress styles over the years in the last floor. There is also a gallery for cars with separate entry ticket and beautiful landscape work surrounding the building

4 stars for Nice place and building design and very big gardens around only. But no star for very poor service inside the museum. Classic cars, you pay 10 AZN to visit and one told you about you cannot take photos or video there. No maps can help you to walk around and no guide inside.

Building design is awesome, they need to but some signs to guide you to the starting point we had to move around for awhile to know where we have to go to start. For me, doll museum was the best unfortunately taking photos was not allowed on this part.

The design of the building is awesome! Entrance fee is 15manat for adult and free for kid. The building is big but the collections are limited. Hopefully there is more displays in future.

The cafe inside the building is beautiful which you can enjoy and rest after the visit.

    Worth a visit..

A truly magnificent building, amazing design by an Iraqi architect I believe
But as a cultural center it has not much content nor culture for that matter. It seems it was built entirely for the wrong reasons. I also visited Georgia & Armenia, and I found their cultural centers & museums exceptionally rich with ancient roots in the Caucasus

Amazing! Impressive architecture building from outside and from inside as well. Each floor is dedicated to a specific theme and well designed.

The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m2 building complex in Baku / Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles.

Amazing structure. One of Baku's modern landmark. "I love Baku" photo stand is located in front of this building. They have two museum inside of which one is all about vintage car collections. Landscape around the property is well maintained. Also, they have a wide area for parking.

Beautiful scenery and very nice place to walk around, got interesting interor too! - but didn't quite get why everything is called: "Haydar Aliyev" - don't Azerbaijanis have any other successful / famous people in their history? What's this obseccion with H.Aliyev?! - as far as I know, he was a KGB employee and didn't do too much of a good for Azerbaijan during his SSSR serving period.. but anyway, landmark is great!

Stunning building, a monument of abstract modern art and architecture. It's an extreme contrast to the Russian architecture of the city. An absolute must visit. The art/history collection in the building is nothing to remember and not worth the visit. Come for the building only.

Mesmerizing from the minute you see the building from the main road to the second you leave. African paintings were on exhibit, miniature Baku, and a sculpture of life on display. Simply fantastic and a must see. The doll section is too beautiful to describe. Some photos in my review for those interested.

    Exteriors and interiors are stunning.
You have to pay 15 azn to enter the building, there are several regular expositions: from peculiar (3 floors of biography of the president) to pretty interesting (miniatures of different azeri sites, dolls exhibition, carpets, etc).

Absolutely incredible style of architecture and amazing interior. But the display is kinda average and standard for such stunning building. Service could be much better and the entrance tickets could cost less. 15 AZN is a little bit overpriced for such display
