Outstanding view, service and food. Ventanas is now called "the restaurant of Tierra Del Sol " due to recent change of ownership. Reservations encouraged but not required most evenings. Bond appetite!

We have been coming to this restaurant for a very long time. They just recently changed the menu, which includes a lot of different additives, preservatives and sauces on top of their dishes. In my opinion incompatible some times. For example they put anchovy butter on top of beef skirt. Good quality meat and fish does not need to be excessively covered with sweet and sour sauces and questionable preservatives. It does nothing, but creates an undesirable circus in your mouth and puts unnecessary pressure on your stomach. In our case the result was by far worse.
We have had a food poisoning during our last visit to this establishment in April 2017. I contacted the restaurant manager Mr. Estrada. He apologized for the incident and stated that he would look into it.response / report this review -

Stunning view. Definitely need to come at dusk and watch the sun set. Food is really good.

Excellent food. Great views of the lighthouse, golf course, and the ocean coupled with impeccable service, and the best club sandwich on the island.

Was always a favorite for us. Just went back after years of not going. Everything was perfect, from the host to our waiter, Hamilton. My sea bass was done to perfection as was my wife's grouper special! So glad to put Ventanas del Mar back on our favorites list!!
