Great ride and excellent staff. Our guide Daniel was terrific and even took pictures for us on our phones. He was always making sure we were doing okay. Our driver Jeanette was super also. Lots of good info for us on the island. Definitely recommend this ride when you visit Aruba.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Gold Mine Ranch! We were on a Cruise to the ABC Islands, and the Gold Mine Ranch picked us up just outside of the cruise terminal in Aruba. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! The scenery was amazing, and they even took photos for you with your own camera instead of making you pay for 'professional' photos. Overall this was a phenomenal experience and one of the best island excursions I've ever been on. 100% worth it!

I spent an afternoon riding a real nice horse in the most beautiful location on the island of Aruba. Everyone from the person who drove me to the ranch to the guides were very professional. Their main concerns were the riders safety and if we were enjoying the ride. It's the best way to see Aruba.

I've only done horseback riding twice previously and i felt safe and comfortable except a few times when our guide sped up the horses going up short hills. My mom and I went early in the morning and the view we had the whole time was gorgeous and magical. Our guide was very fun and cheerful. Don't forget to put sunscreen on really well before you go.

The people that worked there were amazing! They let us gallop and trot on the horses and were so much fun! Great for beginners and experienced riders.

This was a great experience! We take trail rides on just about every vacation all over the world and this was THE most enjoyable. The horses had spirit, the guides were so nice and we weren’t limited to plodding along in a line for an hour and a half. There was some freedom to trot (all gated horses - so smooth!) canter and even gallop a bit. Then on top of all that the scenery was spectacular. It will be a memory we will carry with us happily from our Aruba vacation.

Wonderful ride with great tour guides. Best horse rides on the Island. We galloped most of the time and the the tour guides took lots of pictures of everyone. We would highly recommend

This was one of the best experiences of my trip! I've been riding my whole life so I was definitely looking forward to this and I was NOT disappointed! I had so much fun the first time, I decided to go a second time on my last day in Aruba!

It may seem expensive initially, but for what you get, it's totally worth it! If you book reservations through the Gold Mine Ranch website you'll save $10. They provided my transportation and arrived promptly at my resort for pickup. During the ride to the ranch, the driver will provide you with some history of the island and of the Gold Mine Ruins that you'll see during your ride.

From what I hear, most of the horses/animals on the ranch are rescues which truly warms my heart. Upkeep and maintenance of the horses is very expensive and knowing that most of the animals on the ranch are rescues made it easy for me to spend the money. They all seemed to be in good shape and well cared for. They have horses for all skill levels. Even if you've never ridden a horse before, they'll have a horse for you!

My guides, Candy and Daniel, were great and friendly. Because it can be very windy, this isn't really a tour where the guides will be talking about history and landmarks the whole time. However, they will answer any questions you might have and are great about taking pictures for you. They were also very impressive horsemen! Because I had experience, Candy briefly took me away from the group and we cantered at the oceans edge and up the white sand dunes. I thought this was such an added bonus that other locations may not offer. Thanks Candy!!

During the tour you will be able to see some unreal views of the gold mine ruins, white sand beaches, the hidden lagoon and valley, baby natural bridge and the untouched Aruba desert. You'll even get to walk your horse into the ocean! When returning back to the ranch, you'll get to reward your horse with a carrot and have the option of purchasing your personal photo in a Gold Mine Ranch frame. I've seen some reviews on here that complain about the horses not getting water at the end of their ride. PLEASE NOTE that it can be life threatening to give your horse cold water immediately after your ride. The horses MUST cool down before drinking water or they could colic. Don't be quick to judge the care of the horses if you have no equestrian experience.

Be sure to dress appropriately! Long pants/jeans with closed toe shoes! No flip flops or shorts, unless you want to be extremely uncomfortable the whole time. Wear plenty of sunblock because you will be under the hot sun for over an hour. Helmets are provided if you want them.

Truly an experience I will remember for a lifetime. It'll be the first thing that I do when I return to Aruba!

Very nice ride and very nice people. Where they take you is beautiful. I thought we would be riding on the edge of the ocean and we didn't that was the only thing that was disappointing. They take you to the water and let the horses kick in it for or a minute and that was it with the water but still worth it.

The best place for riding in Aruba! Don't listen to the hotels and go to this place instead. When I inquired about riding in the water the hotel told me that no place in Aruba allowed that. Wrong! I highly recommend this ranch! The staff is fabulous, they care about client safety and work hard to make your ride the best that it can be. This is the best way to see the island. The horses are very well cared for and well behaved. My first ride I took with my boyfriend and he too enjoyed the ride and he's not a rider. I loved it so much I booked a private ride later that week. My tour guide was a very personable Dutch girl and I had a blast! We galloped and chatted and took photos. I'm so happy I have this memory. A+++

You CANNOT go wrong with this place. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and I had no experience whatsoever. They gave me Goldie (who was a little naughty but we thought it was funny) and he rode like a champ. The scenery was outstanding when we rode out to the beach and our tour guide was awesome! We were able to do some trotting and galloping which was fun! They also separated the honeymooner couples and the family couples which was very nice :) Will definitely recommend!

My wife and I went to Aruba on our honeymoon. Our day at the Gold Mine Ranch was by far the best part of our trip. We chose the private tour and we were not disappointed. Our guide was amazing! She was nice, personable, knowledgeable, and her love for the horses and the environment made the ride even more enjoyable. She offered to take pictures several times with our phones and the pictures turned out great. We rode at a pace we were both comfortable with. When we worked up the courage, she let us follow her in a gallop! It was more fun than I thought it would be! I would recommend this adventure to anyone and everyone. Thank you to all of the staff at Gold Mine Ranch for making our experience so much fun and so memorable!!

Hands down the BEST horse back riding experience EVER. Very relaxed and friendly. Horses have spunk but are well behaved (as much as you can expect from a horse lol). You are matched with a horse according to your experience and comfort level. Once they determined that I can keep my seat I could go faster if I liked and the horse was happy to go! We went fast and slow, as well as for a few dips into the water (horse and all!) Loved it so much I sneaked in an extra trail ride hours before flying out. Seriously, you've got to try it!

Make sure you take cash ($15) to buy a picture & frame at the end! It goes towards rescues.

This was some of the most fun we had on our vacation!! Even if it's your first time riding a horse you will have fun! They take you to the gold mine and a few secluded beaches on the north east side of the island. The guides were friendly and even let us trot our horses. They will also position your group together and take photos using your device. At the beginning of the tour they take your photo and have them in cute little frames for purchase ($15) after your ride. The tour was 1.5 hours long and we spent the whole time riding. Wear pants and shoes!

My daughter and wife went riding at Gold Mine Ranch. They joined another family for a tour. The horses were in good shape, they were friendly, well behaved and obedient. The owner offered everyone helmets. Candy and Daniel were the tour guides and they were very sweet and funny. My daughter and another girl were experienced enough to canter while my wife and the rest of the group were beginners for the most part. Before they left, the tour guides did a quick demonstration on how to handle your horse. As they went, Daniel gave some history about the gold mine building ruins. They stopped by the Baby Natural Bridge. They took pictures of everyone on their horse on the beach and under the baby natural bridge. My wife and daughter were very happy with their horses, Picasso and Scorpio. On the way back, my daughter wanted to canter a bit. Since the rest of the group didn't know how to canter, Daniel left Candy in charge of the tour while Daniel, fulfilling my daughter's request, went ahead of the group with my daughter and let her canter the rest of the way with the other girl on the tour who was experienced.

Absolutely the best way to see the island. Daniel was a great guide; we really enjoyed his perspective on the island. I would highly recommend taking this tour. Schedule something in the AM before it gets too hot.

This was a great experience. The horses were very friendly and easy to ride. It was my second time riding a horse and it went very smoothly. I even got the chance to gallop a little on my horse. I'd recommend this for first time riders and experienced. Beautiful views of the coast and various landscapes. Very friendly tour guides and staff.
