Small air-conditioned shops very close to each other, one building they call the wedding cake. Excellent jewelery store in there called Diamonds and Pearls. Good prices, good quality and selection. Parking can be a challenge, but if you are patient you can usually park across the street.

Plaza mall best for shopping in Aruba. Hv very nice casino as well behind this mall india restaurant loved the food there. Aruba hv very nice beaches as well.

Definnitely a tourist trap with all the shops that would go along with a tourist driven area. Crowds are usually bountiful so be prepared for the masses. Shops have a nice Dutch architecture to them. You don't have to stop at jist this one plaza as you find many other similar shops in the area. Still a nice place to stop and see as part of the experienced, jist done get bogged down here.

Most places do not open until 930am and is closed on Sundays. Pretty architectural design and color schemes. Its a must visit.

Don't bother calling ahead to see if a particular store is open. I called and the swatch store said they were open til 9, took a cab there arriving at 815 and store was closed.
Went next door to the crystal palace casino and put in $20 and won almost $200so not a wasted trip.response / report this review -

Great area to walk around and see the influence of the Dutch architecture but the vibrant colors that are used in the Caribbean. Also a very good place for a few hours of walking around shooting pictures and of course souvenir shopping. Then go to one of the many restaurants and get some lunch and a Caribbean drink.

Stopped here on a cruise for a few hours. Oddly the shops didn't open until 10am even though our cruise ship arrived at 7am. Not really a need to run into town as everything was closed. You could skip this area and not miss much. Nothing exciting or must visit locations.
