Must do guided tours only. They claim walking up the stairs is dangerous if you go by yourself. So if you show up at the wrong time like during lunch - you need to wait a Long time for the next tour. It's Not that great of a site and far from city - so I'd recommend just skipping it

Nice to see the view from up the hill where the lighthouse is located. It is advised to use a car to reach the top. Quite a distance if you walk and it is not pedestrian friendly (also not bike friendly, you could certainly take a bike, but no separate biking lane). Also, it is good place to see the sun raise and sunset

This ole lighthouse in my opinion is one of the most majestic in the world! Sunrise or sunsets are beautiful there too! One of the best things about Aruba is you can rent four wheelers or dirt bikes or motorcycles and ride them from one end of the island to the other! I would highly recommend coming to Aruba and seeing for yourself! It’s a great place to vacation!

This was a good landmark but other than taking a picture of the lighthouse there isn’t much to do here. It has a nice scenic view and there’s also a restaurant right next to it.

Good landmark with a sweeping views of land and ocean. Nice restaurant nearby. If you like fresh coconut water then there is a cart which serves it at a reasonable price. You will need to shell out $10 per person to go to the top of the lighthouse.

Not a very interesting lighthouse. But then again, when there are very few tourist spots, I guess this qualifies as a good one. If you are on a tour bus, they stop here for just 15 min. Not enough time to get to the top of the lighthouse.

This is a pretty stop for photos of the country side with the pretty tropical ocean baby blue deep blue, but not a lot to do. Every tour you go on, no matter if it's a ship tour or local tour will steer you to shopping & eating. They do charge to use the bathroom in this Faro restaurant. This area is very hot in April. There are no places to set down or get out of the sun. When you get off of a cruise ship, there are a lot of other people there too, possibly more than one ship. Each ship can have 3000-4000 people. We were on the Norwegian Pearl. If there are 2 ships on the island in port, the experience becomes miserable because the areas are very congested and crowded. TIP: Find a nice backpack, bring your own water and some snacks. Some of the trips might last a couple hours and run over lunch time so this will tie you over til you get back on the ship.

Nothing really special here. The view is nice, but the fact you have to walk to the restaurant to get your tickets isn't smart. Would have rather bought the tickets at the lighthouse itself.

I've been visiting Aruba for 27 years but this year the California Lighthouse in Aruba is open to the public. I climbed up to the top of the lighthouse and you can see wonderful views of the island. You may need to be in good shape to climb up to the top. The stairs are small and spiraled. There is no hand rail to hold on to. Must use caution.

Good spot for pics, good to see the northern part of the island, full of tourists, nothing out of this world. They charge $8 pp if you want to go up to the top of the lighthouse at 430PM (the time is such an inconvenience).

The best place on the island to watch the sunrise/sunset! There were a couple of vendors there selling slushes and coconut milk. We had a good time reading the history and the plaques and enjoying the view. Definitely a place to check out!

Great tour was just us and the guide. $8 was a deal because you get dessert at Fara Blanco after. Top is windy as heck! Don't fall for the door trick!

We were at the light house a couple of times. So we got up early one morning to get over there for a sunrise but by the time we got there it was already up but it was still a good show. A couple of good reasons to do things early in the morning is as a photographer the lighting is better, there is usually no crowds and you can get good angles with nobody in the way (just my wife and I on this visit) plus it is not as hot yet. You can walk around the area and relax and take in the views.

You can easily get here by vehicle, well worth the trip. If you go early in the morning the views are incredible and its not very busy yet.

Beautiful lighthouse for anyone to go and see. Snack and drink huts nearby for refreshments from the hot Aruban sun.

First time you can climb to the top in 100 years. Very windy but awesome view and history. Andres was our tour guide and was super friendly and knowledgeable. We tipped him for escorting us up the 100 stairs and providing so much information and history.
