We arrived at 7:30 and got off to a rocky start by being told we didn't have a reservation, then being placed in a terrible table near the entrance to the bar, then waiting half an hour for our drinks, but after asking to be moved to a reasonable table it got better.
We had the Bang Bang shrimp for an appetiser, which was good but didn't live up to the hype. The Cordon Blue schnitzel was excellent. I had with the Dutch roast potatoes with it, which could have been crisper. The chocolate soufflé was tasty but was more like a lava cake.
Other than having to come back to split the bill correctly and remove the drinks we had not ordered, the service was very good at the second table.
Three stars because the price was not justified by the experience.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I would plan a trip to Aruba just to get back to Madame Jeanette’s. The food was out of this world! The service was great. I’m a seafood girl, but my steak made me a red meat fan. My mouth is watering as I write this review. Make sure you have good directions - my only complaint is that it’s way off the beaten path.

Excellent food, friendly service and atmosphere. The dishes are fresh, delicious and artfully created. Have the Chocolate mousse it's worth the wait, as it is made to order.

Had been here a year ago and steak was as good as the best steak I’ve had in the United States. I just visited in Feb 2017 and I’ve probably had better steak at a Longhorn in rural Georgia on a good night. Timing of service was off but staff was courteous. I’m only giving this one star because my expectations were higher. If I’d come to this place expecting equivalent of a Long Horn or Outback I’d give it a 3 or 4. It’s too bad some places can’t stay consistent.

Been going to Madame Jeanette’s every year for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed with the food or service. I highly recommend on making a reservation prior to visiting Aruba. Steaks, seafood and the pork schnitzel are all amazing. If you go, you will be pleased.

Would of been five stars were it not for the live entertainment. His name was Allie I believe and he sang every song off beat with unnecessary whistling. It gave me a horrible headache and I was very frustrated that he butchered all of these songs I normally love. Service and food were great though. I don't recommend the Kitty Cuban though unless you want to get drunk fast.

Restaurant was recommended from a coworker who had visited previously with rave reviews. However my partner and I found the food average and the service k attentive. There was live entertainment which was extremely boring. Price/ Value not there. Will never be back or recommend.

Restaurant, atmosphere, food and service was amazing. Had pretty high expectations because of the reviews but turned out to be even better than expected. Will definitely go back again.

Our party of 4 had dinner there last night. 1 person in the party has dined at MJ for over 15 years, 2 others for 10 years. Always thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Now it seems the place is so large it can't handle everything properly. Service was lacking, trying to put you at ease, while not following up on your drink orders and actually forgetting to enter one of our meals in the kitchen. The waiter would not admit anything but told us the dish would be out in 1 to 2 minutes, but after the others in the party waited for the other dish to come out before eating ours, those cooled off.
15 minutes later the meal was served with an apology and no charge for the meal, but with no sincerity.
MJ's has become a food factory instead of the quaint establishment we always enjoyed. We won't be going back soon.

Just a spectacular dining experience! Very good food and very good service with a beer and wine selection that will satisfy any taste. A great place for a romantic dinner for 2 or a family of 20. Make sure you make reservations in advance.

Excellent restaurant close to the high-rise hotels (5-7 min cab ride). Highly recommend as the staff was friendly, food was fantastic and the open air restaurant with breezes was great atmosphere. The night we went they had live music and the performers were great! Fun and crazy cocktails make for a fun evening. A must go to while in Aruba. Call ahead and make a reservation.

Always one of our go-tos while we are in Aruba, Madame Janette's did not disappoint this visit! We began with the wonderful bread being brought out to the table with the pickled onions and the seasoned spread. There has been a little change in the spread, and I am a bigger fan of the older recipe, even though this one is okay. The onions are still delicious. I ordered from the specials menu and got s Black Sea Bass with a vegetable and white wine rag out. I will tell you, it was my favorite meal on the island. The sea bass was cooked to perfection. The ragout was delicious. The presentation was beautiful. I had the augratin potatoes as my side. I was a little disappointed, as they were dry. My husband also ordered from the specials menu, getting a Viking steak that was also cooked to perfection. He had mashed potatoes as his side, and reported them to be quite tasty.

Best restaurant on the whole island! I've only been to Aruba 3 times, but my husband and I will ALWAYS keep coming back here for the meal of a lifetime (not even exaggerating). Keep in mind, if you want to go here, you will have to book at least 2 months in advance, so if you plan your trip to Aruba months in advance, be sure to visit their website to book your dinner here because they literally are booked solid months out (yes, it's that good). I'm sure after your visit, you'll be posting a review much like this one 😁

Very nice people working there. Waiter was attentive and not at all pushy. As we have found most of the places in Aruba.

My surf and turf was 39.00 and had a lobster tail 2 1/2" long, 4 shrimp and a piece of meat the size of a demitasse.

Probably better off going to South Beach and eating at Gianni's

Second time here. Only negative, table setting was not all cleaned off from prior table.
Last time I had the almond salmon,. This time the skirt steak. Both were fablous..
Better than most NYC restaurants.

Great ambience, great food and good service! An amazing wine and beer list, plus a good craft cocktail menu! I had the Old Butcher Steak. Cooked to. A perfect medium rare. Wonderful dinner!

If you love outdoor seating then this is the place for you. The schnitzel was cooked to perfection and the almond crusted grouper is definitely the award-winning menu item. The food is overall excellent and the drinks are good. The portions are very large so sharing one entree for two people is definitely an option.
