Marlon was our tour guide for ATVs and he was great. We loved the fast paced action and great ATV riding. Not for the faint of heart but worth every bump. Bring sunscreen and sun glasses the smiles are free. They also gave us much needed "buffs" to help control the dust.
We had a bumpy, dusty blast on our trip. A.B. was an excellent tour guide. We also loved seeing and feeding the animals this company rescues with our funds!
The tour was great. Also tour guides Toto and A. B. They were willing to help you during the whole tour and funny. They showed us a lot interesting and beautiful sites. I strongly recommend!
So me and my girls got threatened, hurt, and almost robbed. Don’t get into any accident and be a tourist because the owner Phillip will try to get you for your money. We had an accident in which cut our tour short. My friend came out with a broken thumb and no one cared. They escorted us back to the animal farm where the
1st thing said was come let me tell you how much you have to pay us. He didn’t even ask us if we were ok, if we needed to go to the hospital, nothing but how would we pay. When we began to become questionable on paying since we rented the tour so they should have insurance and we didn’t sign any accident agreement that stated we had to pay. Phillip then told one of his guys in Spanish to call and hold our passports until we paid cause we were difficult. He refused to take us to a hospital until we payed. We would if h showed us something we signed that said we had to. 3 women in a animal farm hurt, with no one wanting to take us to the hospital, and threats from this man that we won’t be able to go
Home. Don’t give these people any money. They will steal you blind!
I was our last day in town and we wanted to do something adventurous. We made the decision to book an ATV tour around Aruba. This was one of the best experiences my wife and I have ever had. It was rocky and challenging, and that made it. The views are second to none and far surpass anything we’ve seen on any other island, including Maui, Kawaii, St. John or St. Thomas.
Our tour guide was named Marlin. He is a local that loves his job and has a great attitude. There was one rider in our group it was extremely slow on the ATV - brutally slow. He swapped places with her (against her “best judgment” mind you), and put her in his side-by-side. After only a few minutes she felt so much more comfortable and was happy he “made” her do it. It made the trip exponentially better for the rest of us too.
Be prepared for a half-day adventure. It’s windy, so make sure you have a hat that can be turned around or secured. Don’t bring your good sunglasses, because you’re going to want to white dust off of them constantly, and there’s plenty of it. Bring cash, because they charge you extra for the use of a credit card. Don’t forget extra for a tip as well.
Loved the UTV tour around the north side of the island! Great day with excitement and swimming! Don't go on this tour of you get scared easily or like to whine! It's a fun ride, but you are going off road and of you are not prepared to do that then take the bus tour.
Great experience! I highly recommend the ATV or UTV tour. Bring sunglasses to protect your eyes from rocks, and be ready for some real off-roading. Nervous drivers might have more fun as a passenger. It's worth the bumps, though! The scenery is breathtaking and the drive is extremely fun. You also get to visit the animal sanctuary at the start. Again, just be sure to bring sunglasses and you will have a great time!
We booked an atv tour for our family of five, ages 24 to 54. Everyone unanimously agreed that this was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Our guide Marlon was funny, engaging, and overflowing with obvious love for his job. We enjoyed some off-road driving and ended at the Natural Pool which was beautiful. Marlon didn't just sit and wait for us to explore. He dove right inliterally! He made sure we knew where to climb to be safe and offered a strong hand to those having difficulty. We got to "cliff" jumpokmaybe it was only about 6 feet high, but we did it! We would do this tour again in a heartbeat!
We did the ATV tour. It was well guided as some people fell behind the guid was very attentive and always stopped so they would catch up. The price was a great value and u got to feed the animals at the petting zoo. Besides alta vista chapel and other sights along the way the finale was the natural pool. It was all worth it to go over the bumpy off road to see it. Getting there was half the fun. My wife drove the ATV I was in back. The tour starts at Phillips petting zoo. It is a sanctuary for abandoned rare animals and reptiles. We saw school children in there as well
I have been on this UTV off road tour and it's exceptionally amazing. Our tour guides were CAMILO AND MARLON, two wonderful guys who ensured their guests were well taken care off. They provided the dust mask, water, sodas for everyone. They were very friendly and quite responsible. We made about 11 stops and took pictures etc. We were allowed to dip in the natural pool, which was beautiful. Be careful, wear water shoes with a good grip and sun shades. Lots of rocks and stairs to get to the pool, but its well worth it. Try it, enjoy, have fun and be safe.
This is a great trip and very worth your money! Elias was our tour guide. He went to whatever stops we requested within our allotted time frame. We got to swim in the natural pool, see the natural bridge, the natural Rock Formation, the Alto Vista Chapel, and the Gold Mill. He allowed us as much time as needed at each stop to view the sights. He even had beverages (Coke, water, iced tea) for us in a cooler.
Make sure you are prepared to be outside. Wear closed-toed or swim shoes. Lots of sunscreen. Also, you WILL be going over VERY Rocky terrain in the UTV. But Elias knew what he was doing. There is a place to purchase food and souvenirs at the natural bridge stop. also, you'll have to pay a dollar if you choose to use the toilet at this stop. But Around-Aruba has no control over that.
We had a great time! Highly recommend!
Best part of our ten day honey moon in Aruba! This is a must do. We had an UTV and drove it around several sites where we were able to stop and explore. Our tour guide "pope" Francis was a blast and he really made the day fun for all of us! I 100% would recommend to anyone! At the beginning you also get to go to a petting zoo! Thanks for making our trip memorable!
We have been coming to Aruba for over 20 years and have done a lot of things. And I have to say this was the worst experience we have ever had on the island, We signed up for a jeep tour with 8 people through a very trusted beach hut operation. We were given a flat rate for up to 10 people in a large Hummer. We let them know the morning of the tour that we would be 11 people including a couple of children. They said that would be fine.
We were picked up at the hotel and driven to the Animal Park where we would start our tour. I was then told by the owner it would cost an additional $70 per hour since we were more than 8 people. After several; minutes of discussion he finally relented to the original rate.
Our tour started fine, although the driver/guide seemed much more interested in finding the roughest areas to drive versus taking us on a comprehensive tour. The Hummer was also frankly a piece of junk and kept stalling out. It finally died out in the middle of nowhere. They called to have 2 jeeps pick us up and told us they would be there in 10-15 minutes.
One hour later they finally showed up and we split into 2 groups. We were supposed to head to the natural pool, but the 2 drivers never communicated with each other. Instead of staying together, one of the Jeeps sped ahead and we were separated. One headed to the small natural pool and the other headed toward Arikok National Park to visit the caves. We never even got to the caves. The 2nd driver finally figured out the mistake and we headed to the small natural pool passing the other Jeep on the way after they already went there. The 2nd Jeep spent a short amount of time at the small natural pool before our tour ended.
We were very disappointed that we didn't get to do a family tour together. But I was very understanding, considering you can't predict a vehicle breakdown. I spoke to the owner the next day, expecting that he may at least offer us something for our inconvenience. Maybe another tour or even a visit to the animal park. But he offered nothing. He even said that I was fortunate to get such a good deal in the first place. I got off the phone wishing I had paid with a credit card vs. cash because then I would have some recourse.
We visit Aruba nearly every year and I am not one to complain. And I can see that a lot of people have had good experience with this company. But I feel strongly that while unforeseen things can go wrong, how you handle those things is very important. And clearly Around Aruba handled the situation poorly and unprofessionally.
I will choose to spend my money elsewhere next time.
Rip Off Jeep Rental
Paid $400 for a 4 hour Jeep Rental for my last day in Aruba family adventure taken to only 3 of the 7 places. Jeep broke down and wasted over an hour of our own time getting back to the hotel. False advertising and bad customer service from the hut with the American flag on the beach in front of the Marriott Surf Club. Only after complaining that we lost over an hour and was never taken to all the places promised from the tour guide Dave did I get $50 back from the company. I think he took too many back roads. Very disappointed in the trip and the service.
Toto and Francis were great guides and made the tour an enjoyable experience. I do recommend the water shoes if you want to swim in the natural pool. While not necessary, it does make you feel more comfortable doing so. Be prepared to be cleaning dust off of you for days and don't wear anything white as the dust might not come out. Overall A+ experience.
My wife and I came to Aruba for our honeymoon. Our favorite excursion by far was the ATV tour! Took us to 5 beautiful sites around the Island including a natural pool and old mine ruins. It was a blast and our tour guides Francis and Toto really made the trip worth while!! Definitely worth the price you spend! Recommend everyone to give this a try!!
Had a fantastic time with our guide, Toto. I would highly recommend the UTV TOUR. It was a great adventure and got to see different parts of the island and swim in the natural pool. Definitely, a highlight of our trip and was well worth the money.
Alex and Toto were great guides. A great day touring the few hotspots on the island! Lots of driving! Bring water shoes for the natural pool! Great afternoon!
If your looking for a fun adventurous day then I would definitely recommend the tour. We had great guides Alex and Toto they are very knowledgeable. I would suggest wearing water shoes when you stop at the natural pool for a swim. Oh and don't wear white !!
(January 27, 2017) This was my first time ever in Aruba and riding UTVs. We had an awesome tour guide named TOTO . He was lively and very funny. He showed us ARUBA & we saw some of the most beautiful sights. I will make sure that when I come back, I'll take another tour.
We had Toto and Alex as guides. Couldn't have asked for a better trip with better guides. Very fun, friendly and knowledgable. Gave us the perfect amount of time at each stop and we even got to swim in Natural Pool. There are no tour buses allowed there because of rocky terrain so the small amount of people was great. We met up with them from our cruise ship terminal and they were able to find us/wait for us, which was great. We were also able to let on it and get some speed at times which was awesome! Driving next to the water for most of the trip was perfect!!
