Lovely old pub that's been nicely done up and has a lovely feel inside. The food is pretty good/excellent, but the portions are MASSIVE (i.e. more than one meal). Great play area for the kids too.

Great food at reasonable prices, highly recommend the pork belly. Great for families with young kids has safe kids slide/climbing frame.

I was passing through Wonthaggi a couple of weeks ago & decided to stop in here for a beer & dinner. The staff seemed friendly, the beer selection was not great but it was cold. After sitting in the bar & listening to the locals I decided to finish my beer & leave. The final straw was hearing a one of the gentlemen in the bar say "I'm a white supremacist & no one can call me on that! because that is my opinion" Perhaps steer clear of this place if you are a person of color or member of a minority group.

Lovely historic Hotel. Tried to dine here without a reservation on a Saturday night. Impossible! The food looked amazing and everyone seemed happy. I will be going back soon but I will call on a Thursday.
Now a couple of weeks later. Had a wonderful meal from the seniors selection on the menu. Order to serving 14 minutes. The whole experience was positive. Very friendly staff.

With New Management, this place is getting better by the day.
Meals are best in town, service is great and staff very friendly.
