Kids meals were overcooked chicken strips , parmy was dry and onion rings well overcooked fairly dissapointed tbh. Staff are nice and its quick service.Definately wont be going back in rush ,the cook needs to learn how to cook simple as that.

Have had evening meals at the whale and ale twice during our visit. Both times the meals and service have been spot on. Well done wish we had you at our hometown back home on the east coast.

Went there tonight for dinner, never again. The service was non-existent even with only one other table of people dining in the entire restaurant. After initial meal and drink order we seen no staff! No one to check meals, clear plates, ask if more drinks required, see if kids meals require desserts. We had to get our own napkins from other tables after a drink spillage, kids had to sit on adjoining tables to colour their activity packs as table was not cleared. After paying the bill and being informed the service was substandard and I had better service at McCafe, I was informed that if I let them know earlier they could of assisted us. As their customer service seems to only matter if you request it.

Have eaten at whale +ale on numerous occasions and it's been fine today my wife had a pulled pork Burger and it was average to put it nicely service was good won't be back for a while

Had a couple of meals today with a friend. Beautiful entrees ,lovely waiter Henry. Fish and chips overcooked and rubbery,do not recommend this meal at all. As it it the simplest pub meal to Cook

Very pleasant lunch with friends. Friendly waitress who appeared as needed but otherwise left us in peace. Nice food and plenty of it. Have been there regularly and will go again.

It's ok. The staff are polite, friendly, prompt and professional. The venue is comfortable and even has a small outside play area for kids which is an added bonus. Food was very average and lacked seasoning, but on the plus side, it was all reasonably priced.
