Nice, warm and friendly staff. I must have come on a bad day as I didn't think the cutlery was very clean and a glass with lipstick still on it did not make me feel very comfortable about the cleanliness

Friendly staff. Yummy gluten free bread, even for the French Toast. Cute warm vintage type setting. Clean. Quick service. We go here a lot. Reasonable prices.

Good coffee, cakes and brunch menu with great breakfast selection. Relaxed dining beside the cosy open fire in period character building. Friendly service.

Wonderful breakfast at Vines in Arrarat.. quite unexpected. Tea in lovely China tea cups was a real treat. Porridge with roasted fruit was a delight. Perfect combination of creamy oats al dente with tangy rubharb, fig and strawberries. Lashings of honey.. just delicious.

Not sure what happened to this place, but it is run weird way now.
No menus, you have to go to have a look at the specials board in the back and in the display case next to the bar. But when you want to order they tell you to go sit down, that they will get your order from there? What the? Who thought this was a good system. Just print some damn menus and give them to your customers. How are you supposed to know how much everything costs?
Food wise, not the best. This place used to be great, but I think it might have changed the ownership and now is being run to the ground.
Have been here few times before and liked it, now I wouldn't return. A pitty really.response / report this review -

Have been here a couple of times on the way to the Grampians, definitely worth the stop. Absolutely lovey country cafe, nice tea & coffee and amazing looking cakes. Some of the best scrambled eggs & bacon I've ever had. Can be a bit slow when they're busy, but worth it!
