  Firstly, let me start off buy applauding the 'Apollo Bay seafood cafe' for getting my partner and I out of a huge problem. The problem will be explained in detail below - please observe or else disappointment will follow.
  
  A relaxing getaway for two along Victoria's amazing coastline, what more could one ask for? Great food of course! - Not here.
  
  After making a reservation and arriving, we were seated. Staff were polite and attentive - no problems there.We were then asked if we would like a glass of water - the water was $9. I digress Back to the staff it did take 8 staff members 10 minutes to make 2 scotches but I'm not one to complain yet. Scotches $12 x2 plus water $33 without breaking stride.
  
  Onto the kids menu also referred to as 'The Vista's' mains. I can only speak from my experiences with the food that I tried. I was treated with a bite size portion of Fish and Chips, all in all it was a meal perfect for a Sultan Sultan Chandra Bahadur Dangi to be exact (I'll save you the Google search - he is the worlds smallest person).
  I also dabbled in my partners Scallops and Pearl barely Full disclosure, I was involved in the Horse industry for many years and I wouldn't feed the Barley served up to my partner to my least favourite Shetland. To be fair, my horses ate very well. Better than my partner on this particular evening.
  In closing, I hope this review served some comedic relief to people who were either planning an evening out or as disgruntled as I was.
  Save yourself the heartache and expense, go to Apollo Bay seafood cafe, sit on the beach and thank me later.

  Sea food was just ok well over priced for a Cafe style restaurant $350 for the seafood platter for 2 what a joke. Definitely will not eat there again.

  Mistake on the wine menu, waited 45 minutes for our entree (which was fresh oysters and some seared scallops). Then waited a further 50 for our mains after we had finished our entree. Service was lovely, fish was perfectly cooked, however for the price you are paying 2 hours is too long.

  The food was lovely. Service good. Don't have the espresso martinitasted like strong iced coffee. Did mention it to the staff (any kahlua in this martini)????? What is this 2% surcharge???? Illegal practice?? I come from Mt Martha and we don't chrge it on our side of the bay!

  Good service, slightly expensive. Good food tho! Seafood platter is quite nice. Environment quiet and cosy. Recommended!

  We've recently visited Apollo Bay and found this restaurant one of the best. We ordered eye fillet steak and baby snapper. The food was sensational.
  Maybe they changed restaurant manager or chef since two years age.
  I'm not sure about negative reviews but we were very satisfied with service and food quality.
  Highly recommended!
