Has completely gone down hill since the new director took over. He does not cater for all tast s inthe community it's very focused on a select group of people. Shame on the board for allowing this to continue

Newport Library used to be here while the they were renovating, I don't remember this place for the gigs played but i do remember how beautiful and rustic it was. really dope.

Do not go here to see gigs! Unfortunately, they are simply not set up to accommodate bands. The acoustics and the sound set up was so poor that it made me feel sorry for the band. The sound was extremely quiet and mixed so strangely that frequently people coughing and the sound of the bathrooms could be heard prominently over the gig. There was a prominent, out-of-place buzzing sound when the music got too quiet or too loud and the band was obviously vexed by it all. Some serious work needs to be done before this venue becomes an enjoyable place to see a gig.

Had our wedding here, it's a great venue and very novel at the time since it hasn't really held that many weddings. It's charm and mesmerising tall ceiling and curtains really accentuated the theme of our wedding. The venue helped mark the start of our journey together and it couldn't have gone any better.

This venue is a Newport treasure! Lots of history. I was actually there for a reuse it baby Market which is a great boutique little Market with everything you could want for young kids
