We got our gorgeous Staffador from the Lost Dogs home. The staff were helpful and seemed to really care about the animals.
It's a great way to give a lonely dog a home and much cheaper than many of the other re-homing shelters.

On Tuesday 26th September 2017 after months of trying 2 figure out what 2 do with the cats Sassy (11) & Dakota (7) who belonged 2 our mother who passed away early December 2014 we surrendered them both 2 the city of Casey Council for adoption just after 3pm it was not easy 2 do & somehow i'll regret it but it's for the best, the process was over & fast on behalf of my sister, 5 yr old nephew & myself we would like 2 thank those involved in the process that afternoon i know the cats will be in good hands in new homes soon we will be thinking about them from time 2 time. Goodbye Sassy & Dakota after all these yrs you're journey with us has sadly come 2 an end but a new journey begins for u both have lots of fun with your new owners guys & i'm sure you'll settle in just fine like u did with us but it is with deep regret that it's time for u guys 2 move on we will miss your guys very much your old home won't be quite the same again it wasn't an easy decision 2 make but we were looking out for your best interests u guys were indoor cats for yrs as we couldn't provide much else & for that we are sorry for. We will never forget u guys & wish u both the very best wherever u go, i hope this is something i'll never have 2 do again

Lots of dogs come through the doors and they always seem to leave just as quickly. They have trainers which take the dogs for walks and plays in the off-leash area, and behaviour department to help animals from committing the same problems to which they ended up there. More dogs on anxiety medication than most shelters, can't say if it's caused by the shelter.

Dropped off some blankets and towels and a lovely gentleman opened the door for me and helped me carry the bags in. I asked if I could go and have a look at the dogs and the same gentleman said he would take me. Turns out he is the new volunteer gardener and was very proud of the work he has done so far and chattered about each of the dogs there. Was so nice to meet someone who obviously enjoys his work.

Such a great experience! They really help you find the best pet for your needs. They are all healthy, and there is a lot of aid to prepare, post care, and even vet care afterwards. I adopted from another shelter and they did not provide as much help as they did here. And there is a lot more variety too.

Cats are all extremely cute, especially the kittens. Staff there very nice and approachable. They know so much about their cats that they can pick out which one is right for you and your situation at home. This is the place to adopt a forever pet, has everything sorted for you. If you have another cat already, they teach you how to introduce them to each other. They really do look after you. Fantastic place!

The name "Lost Dogs home" sounds like a safe haven and place of refuge for animals. It's not! They are a high kill facility. Please donate instead to a no kill shelter that rehome not kill healthy animals.

The staff are amazing and my little escapee - Billie - is happy and frightened of going out! 3 days whilst Dad was in hospital was not a good experience, and I forgive Hannah (my darling granddaughter) for leaving the front door open when her Mum was getting me stuff for hospital.
Billie is the most loving little "person" you could imagine.
Thank you for my little mate and a little person my darling granddaughters love.
