A good place to buy books even if you are not a student. The prices are a bit steep but you pay for quality and they have a lot of quality books. 3 stars.
I would give NEGATIVE stars if possible.
Very Poor response time, Incompetent customer service, bordering on Scam-like behaviour.
I ordered a book online. They got back to me saying it's not in stock. It took them over a month to give me any news about what they were going to do about it.
A "Customer Service Representative" named Angus emailed me saying they have a similar product and asked if I wanted to proceed with the transaction, if not I could arrange a refund.
I got back to him within 24hrs saying I DID NOT want to proceed and requested a refund.
The next day I get a confirmation saying that it's in the post and heading my way.
I tried calling the Customer Service line (during business hours) and only got an automated voice saying all their staff are busy, and then it automatically hung up on me.
I emailed Customer service using their own website stating my case. It's been over a week and I've not gotten and response at all.
Now I have a product that I do not want, nor did I give authorisation to send to me.
Thanks a lot Co-op.
Very very expensive. Service is average. Range is a bit random.
I wasn't really satisfied the book which was a simple networking IT lab manual was out or stock. But it wasn't the reason of my disappointment. They sent me to the other book shop saying that they might have some then in the other shop they were surprised what am I doing there since they don't sell any IT books Anyway I didn't like their behaviour so I ordered my book online.
However, they're offering with a $25 member registration constant sales for books and they also have a service which says they buy your book back.
Hugely helpful staff - able to find my membership details form 26 years previous based on my prison address in Seven Hills. The Co op book shop still has all the text books an academician might want or student might need. But also has cool things like pop heads and remote control BB-8's. (Star wars fans may need to grab some Kleenex.) Super staff with excellent product knowledge. Probably more useful if you're a student - but alumni of any other Sydney based University are also welcome. No WiFi.
Baz was great. Sold them my textbook and got a voucher for my next visit. Thanks heaps. Was quick and easy to do. !! Definitely be returning.
One of the most expensive place to buy books. Only good thing about this store is that they keep lots of electronic item which even JB-HiFi don't. Also, they have collectibles from Big Bang Theory, and Game of Thrones. So it's good for buying everything except books. Location is good, but operating hours are not.
