After a day visiting every shoe shop in Melbourne's CBD, I couldn't find a single pair of size 14 trail runners anywhere. I'm currently wearing Brooks, so I thought sticking with the same brand was a safe strategy for online ordering. A few shops claimed to have the cascadia 4 in stock, but I was in a hurry so called first to check that the stock report was accurate. A local shop said they could order it in and have it for me a week later.

I called the Runners Shop, and after listening to my whinge, they offered to call Brooks and find out how long it would take to get the shoes in as they thought it should only take a couple of days, not a week as the other store claimed.

Fifteen minutes later they called back, told me that they'd could arrang for Brooks to send the shoes out to me directly and that I should have them in the afternoon or the next day. Less than 24 hours later, the shoes arrived. Very cool
