Simply amazing - I asked Smarter Bathrooms+ to renovate a small to medium sized bathroom at my place, and they did a wonderful job. The work was of the absolute highest quality, I've never seen tiling work done so meticulously and the attention to detail was amazing.

Michael, Mirnes and Grace did an absolutely amazing job of designing the bathroom and making sure the renovation went as smoothly as possible. Special mention to Sajjad the person who did our tiles, he did a phenomenal job and made our bathroom look so professional and high quality.

It's not just the skill and top quality designs that have me raving about this business - it's actually the people who run this business and those who work for it. EVERYONE I've had on the project was extremely respectful, kind and pleasant to deal with - always happy to answer questions, they always cleaned up at the end of the day, and always super polite, honest and responsible.

I don't know how you guys do it but they've managed to team together the best people who will treat your house with utmost respect and care. It was seriously a 11/10 experience all around, if you want the ultimate peace of mind and a guaranteed beautiful, high quality and long lasting bathroom, go with these guys.

Also they are super responsive DURING the project - I may have texted Michael/Mirnes at odd hours with questions and they always replied me ASAP with as much detail as possible and they were extremely helpful. I needed something small fixed, and Michael was there the next day. They are very responsible and will look after you like family.

Google will only let me max out at 5 stars, but would give these guys 10 stars if I could! You will be in the safest, most skilled hands if you choose to go with this company. You will be treated with the utmost professionalism, kindness and care. Everything from start to finish will be carefully considered and covered for you :)

These guys were great! They worked through Covid and respected all the restrictions to make us feel comfortable. From design to installation we were happy with every step and we are fairly fussy. It was a difficult job in an old, badly constructed downstairs space in a 60's house. We had specific needs and they met every one of them. We needed a deep but small bath and a seperate toilet and shower in a very small area PLUS we wanted a Japanese influence. Since completion the renovation has worked brilliantly, beyond our expectations. Could not recommend this company highly enough. On time and on budget! All staff were dedicated to the job and completed each stage with care and pride. Top shelf!

Smarter Bathrooms+ made the whole process of construction of a new bathroom as smooth as practicable. From design consultation through construction to completion was a fairly painless endeavour. Our resulting in a bathroom is magnificent and we are thrilled. Our site manager Peter kept us updated throughout and all the trades were skilled, diligent and respectful. They were very responsive after completion with a couple of very minor issues that were quickly rectified. I have confidence in recommending their services to others and I would definitely use them again.

We couldn't be happier with Smarter Bathrooms! We used them in 2019 to completely redo our upstairs master bedroom, bathroom, robe and study area and our downstairs bar. We got them back again in 2020 to redo our kitchen and convert our rumpus room into a home office. Our second project was particularly challenging due to COVID restrictions and being heavily pregnant, however we got there in the end and we now have an incredible home that we love so so much! On both occasions, Russell was our designer and Nick Long our project manager. You'd really struggle to find a better team. We would definitely use them again in future :)

SB did a great job, they fit us in quickly and completed the bathroom renovation in less than 3 weeks. Antony was always available for questions, he kept the project on track, and he accommodated any changes we needed.
SB quotes were higher than others but the quote was extremely thorough and it was clear that quotes from other providers had omissions.

If you are looking someone to handle your renovation, you are in good hands with Smarter and better still, when they say they guarantee it, they mean it.

Update 19 Feb 21: We had an issue with the under floor heating where it was shorting out the electricity in our bathroom. With other companies, you'd be chasing through hoops to get their tradies to come out and look at it and then tell you if they will do it under warranty and generally it is a bit of a nightmare. However dealing with Smarter was quite the opposite. After a few calls, they came out to look at it, told us what the problem was and then helped to schedule for it to be fixed. It all went very smoothly and stress free. Everyone that came out was friendly and punctual. If they told you they were going to be there at 9, they were there at 9. You didn't have to chase them up. Thanks to Mark and the warm tech guys for making the whole process stress free.

Original Post: This was the second time we used Smarter Bathrooms and we were once again very happy with the results. In our second time around, we didn't even shop around. We already knew we wanted to use Smarter Bathrooms again.

Renovations can be a truly stressful time but the Smarter Bathroom guys minimize the stress in every conceivable way.

In my review, I won't talk about how great they were, you can read about that in other reviews. In this review for my second time round, I'll outline two key learnings from my experience with Smarter Bathrooms that might help you in your bathroom renovations.

Key learnings:
1. Listen to your designer. Both times we worked with Russell and the first time around he suggested underfloor heating. But being a cheapskate, I decided to go with heated towel racks instead. The second time around, guess what we got? Underfloor heating. The designers at Smarter Bathrooms will work with you to design the best bathroom for your budget. They are do not try to upsell you anything and have your best interests at heart.
2. Relax - you are in good hands. The second time around, I was able to relax much more knowing that we were in good hands. The first time I was an anxious mess of wandering if everything was going to schedule, how it was going to look and if everything was going to still work. This time around Mirnes kept us updated on every stage and even helped with small requests that we made.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. If there is a third time we have to renovate, I would choose Smarter bathrooms again.

We chose Smarter Bathrooms for our family bathroom makeover because of Alan Nasrallah’s beautiful design. It incorporated everything we wanted and more within what we thought was a fairly small space. The finished result is so good you’d swear the walls had been moved outwards! The renovation process is extremely thorough and you are included at every stage. We liked how Alan as the designer was involved all the way through the process as well, and how our input was sought particularly at milestones such as tile laying and installation of accessories. The build team is thorough, explaining unexpected problems and finding solutions that don’t break the bank, honest (if they make a mistake they tell you and fix it), neat and tidy (bliss) and very good at what they do. If you have queries, even after the final bill is paid, the team will work with you to make sure you are happy. Yes, Smarter Bathrooms are expensive (although no more so than equivalent firms), however you get what you pay for and in our case we have a beautiful bathroom that delivers everything we wanted and more. Many thanks go to all the team especially Alan and our fabulous site supervisor, Kate Jukes. Highly recommended!

Smarter Bathrooms redesigned and renovated our old bathroom. After looking around finally found a firm that could bring our ideas to fruition. From start to finish they were easy to work with . All the trades were great. Importantly they were on time and on budget. Everyone was polite and courteous. Alan did the design and Nick was our supervisor. Great job and a totally professional outfit. We’re still amazed at the transformation.

Having had a few quotes to remove my bath and replace it with a ' walk in shower' I decided on Smarter Bathrooms , one reason being Kat ( Katherine ) who , when she came to my home advised and explained the process so well , she obviously had great expertise in this work and her helping me choose tiles to match in with my existing tiles was very reassuring . Mine was not a big job ( small really ) and I was so glad to realise that he company would do the work for me .
I live on my own and I asked that the workmen be ' nice people ' ( stupid I know to ask that ) every workperson was lovely Leon, Sam, Tony, Geoff, Stefan, Antonio ,Kate , Vincent , Mathew and George . They were all managed by the wonderful Peter who visited often to oversee the work and ensure no days were wasted and everything went to plan . Both Kat and Peter were easy to contact if I wanted that .
My new shower is wonderful and I can highly recommend Smarter Bathrooms and Kitchens to all.

I wanted to put a dishwasher in my 1970s villa unit, which meant the whole kitchen had to be renovated to accommodate it – including demolishing a wall to combine the kitchen & laundry.

When I saw the fabulous job Smarter Kitchens did on my sister’s apartment’s kitchen & bathroom, I didn’t bother getting quotes from anyone else; I simply made an appointment to see Vanessa (Design Manager) to discuss the job.

Vanessa, Hettel (Design & Specification Consultant) and I were on the same page from Day 1. Every planning meeting felt more like a catch-up with good friends than a business transaction. Vanessa’s design was perfect for my needs and her product recommendations were spot-on.

Nick was my project manager and was an absolute delight to work with. He kept me informed all the way as to what was happening when … and any issues or queries were resolved promptly. I was concerned that the look of one of the wall tiles made it appear that it was cracked (it wasn’t, it was merely a “vein” in the stonework pattern). No problem, Nick had the tiler replace it the next day.

Living in a group of units, I was also concerned about how much of an inconvenience my renovation would cause my neighbours. My fussiest neighbour (he’s retired, so was at home while the work was happening) made a point of saying how polite, professional and considerate the crew was. I couldn’t agree more – despite being a construction zone, my home was always left in a neat and tidy state with surfaces protected and doors closed to minimize dust.

Nick even liaised with the painter and the floor sander/polisher I had engaged in addition to the kitchen renovation and co-ordinated their schedules on my behalf. Super-impressive!

I love, love, LOVE my new kitchen (completed on time and on budget) and highly recommend the Smarter Kitchens team. My only regret is that I didn’t get in touch with them years ago.

We are delighted with our newly renovated kitchen and so glad we decided to ask Smarter Bathrooms and Kitchens to work with us to achieve it. From the very beginning when we met with the designer, Claire, we knew we were in good hands. Claire not only gave us some great ideas, but also listened attentively to our ideas and suggestions and worked with them too. Once we were ready to start, the project manager, Aidan, came on board. Aidan was always responsive to any questions or concerns we might have and supervised the many tradespeople involved very efficiently - we always knew whom to expect each day and the whole team of workers were respectful and performed at a very high standard. Any renovation involves some stress but with the Smarter team this was definitely minimised. If you are looking for someone to entrust your renovation to then I would recommend you look no further than Smarter Bathrooms and Kitchens.

How's this for service!

Smarter Bathrooms installed our bathroom about 18 months ago. A week or so ago, the glass shower door started hitting the glass side of the shower, prompting fears of glass chips or a shattered door. I called Aidan, who immediately arranged for someone to come and fix it - and what's more, he came across as being really pleased to be able to help.
This is a crowd that does great quality work and stands behind the work they do.

I highly recommend them.

Worth every penny! Walking into our bathroom is a dream. Kat and Crumpy (Peter Crump) made the process easy, professional and enjoyable - we saw progress every day. Every single trades-person shook my hand and wiped their feet before entering the house. It is clear they are all masters of their art - (Vince the tiler especially). Smarter Kitchens did a fantastic, professional job on renovating our kitchen. From the design process with Claire, through to the final sign-off today, the whole project left us with no complaints. I highly recommend all their tradespeople. They were excellent at their respective trades, respectful of us as homeowners, worked long days and got their jobs done quickly and always cleaned up after themselves. Towards the end we noticed a few tweaks, and Nick, our project manager, had absolutely no problem getting some of them to come back for minor alterations. Nick was unflappable, professional and kept the whole project moving to schedule with a smile on his face. I can't recommend them highly enough.
