Had a very pleasant stay, rooms are clean, service is good plus it's close to the beach. 8/10 would stay again
Good for kids and families. Food ok. Service ok
Great pub for Friday afternoon drinks. Staff were great & $6 pints of Furphy's beer was a bonus!
Had a function for work and the staff were really helpful throughout. Lunch was tasty and served pretty quickly. Finished the day with a cold beer overlooking the bay from sports bar balcony.
Very average meal. had chicken Parma
which was bland, soggy chips which looked like they'd been reheated, and a tasteless 'salad' mostly leaves. The worst thing though was the noise with kids running everywhere screaming. Kid friendly yes. Adult friendly nope. Won't return.
Headed along with a group thinking that this is something the hotel should be good at, there not. Instead of having space around the table we were crammed in to 3 separate tables (10 per table).
The staff don't seem to care, their appearance and customer service gives a sense of 'when does my shift end and why am I here'. There is no communication between the order line and bar, so if like me you don't get handed a receipt then you won't be getting your free kids drinks.
The place is tired and has a feeling of being run down and everywhere you look your eyes are drawn to a TV instead of the magnificent view outside the window.
The food is well over priced with the menu full of options from $28. The flat head and salad I ate was well cooked but it was not a $28 meal. The kids meals on the other hand are great Vale at $9.
This is the last remaining hotel on beach road with stunning views, the hotel needs to decide who their clientele is. If it's families then rethink the food cost.
if they don't pick up their act soon they will join a long line of hotel to apartment redevelopments.
Great location, indoor playground w tables next to it to watch your kids. Lovely set up
View and bar staff were excellent tonight, but each of the three meals I tried with a group of six people tonight were well below average for a pub meal.
The lousy chips didnt help matters, nor did the saddest cheesecake I could remember eating and having to clear our own plates from the table at the end of my father in law's 80th dinner was the straw that broke the camel's back. Never again despite the great position and views.
Why does Sandringham lack a variety of great restaurants?
Kids running wild bumping into patrons. Screaming.
Don't waste your time.
What a joke.
The kids play area and overall kid friendly vibe is where two of the the stars I've given come from.
The food is OK. Typical pub grub. The prices are insanely high considering the food quality.
