We ate here twice for dinner. Food and staff were brilliant. My wife can only eat dairy free. The staff were so helpful. They talked with the chef and gave my wife many choices. The meals were excellent. would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent food, the Butter Chicken was the by far the best i have ever tasted. The new owners and the staff are very friendly and the service was fantastic, been to many indian food places but this one is definitely my favourite, will definitely be returning!

Visted on 27th sept 2017. We had a table near the kitchen and was surprised how many times the micro wave was used to reheat the meals. Gravies tasted ok but the quality and quantity of meat was disapointing. Naan breads were small and under cooked. Go somewhere else.

Ordered-
1) onion dosa - costs about 17$- this was awful, sticky and found difficult to split. This was frozen food, which was re-heated and catered! Period.
2) Rice and dal tadka, this was edible.
Just called the owner and asked - was onion dosa a frozen food?. He just took the food away and did not even say sorry but sent one of the staff to ask me if I wanted to have anything else. He didnot charge me for onion dosa, even if he had, it was no big deal. I did not like the manner this was dealt.

WORSE INDIAN I"VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!. Came home from a very long day at work, decided to order spicy butter chicken and saffron rice from this place, (on the 11th September 2017 incase they try changing the dates of my post!) food didnt arrive until an hour later, there was 2peices of tiny chicken in the curry, wasnt hot, cost me 42 dollars for a lousy dinner. i reckon a kid could make better curry. waste of space and money thats for sure. should have ordered some seafood. They should close the business!!

Excellent location, good food with several interesting choices of dishes, prompt.service. Some might prefer the taste at the nearby Spicy Bites where we ate yesterday, but I felt this one won out just by a bit for us.

Just totally Horrible. The quality of food was extremely poor the girl who took our order could not even understand her own menu. We ordered 3 meals my son ordered fried chicken noodles (he is still waiting for it).the fried rice was tasteless and dry. I asked the girl have you written it all down she looked blankly at me and nodded. I chose the onion dosa which was horrid. Also ordered some naan but they we're all burnt. My meal caused me to suffer from a reaction to the additives in whatever seasoning they used. As a result I had a episode and I passed out for over an hour then it took me hours to recover. My son is actually grateful he didn't get his meal. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE TO EAT.
The service is shocking and the food worse.

Best Indian Restaurant in Cairns..!Goat meat was deliciously cooked with awesome raita and achar. The service was excellent. Entries were awesome with spicy chatni and Chiken Tikka was well cooked.

Best! Best!! Best!!!
Best Indian food i ever had in my life. Must try once. I am running a travel, tour and guide business in India. So, i have visited a lot of countries and also have visited mostly all big cities in Australia. Last month me and a group of 12 visited Australia, we visited Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Cost and Cairns. Best food we had there was in Cairns at "Royal India Restaurant". The food was delicious everything was well cooked and flavor of each and every ingredient can be felt in every byte. Recommended for everyone who are willing to have Awesome Indian food and good service.
I don't have word to express my feeling it was Perfect. Loved it.
Thanks to Royal India for serving us delicious food with awesome service.
