  Good experience with fast ferries. Ferry departed on time, smooth journey. Bonus - keep your eyes peeled for whales and dolphins, we spotted both on our way back from rottnest 😳

  The staff were friendly and efficient with boarding. They are reasonably respectful of the bicycles they load. The passengers are usually impatient and can be rude.

  Dodgy booking system, demanding money after finalisation of payment, when you are at the port waiting to board.
  Booked ferry and bike hire online, having chosen our day and times and used a promotion code that was accepted by the online booking system. Credit card deducted in advance, which I thought would be the finalisation of booking.
  Turned up on the day to be told we still owe $73. The promotion code was not valid for the date and time we had chosen. They took no responsibility that the system should not have accepted our booking, and that from our perspective the booking and payment was final.
  Took a long time and a lot of persistence from us, but they them sheepishly offered to 'wave the extra cost'. Horrible thing is we saw others in line the same day who seemed up paying the extra, for the fault of the company.
  The bus transfer to the port in the morning and back in the afternoon was very welcomed, thank you.

  I made our reservations online the night before and received an email confirmation immediately. We also hired bikes which I highly recommend as a convenient way to tour the island. Make sure you bring cash ($25) per bike rental for deposit. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was most surprised at how nice the ferry was. I didn't expect cloth seats. The ride to the island was a bit choppy due to head wind so if you're at all prone to sea sickness I suggest you take a motion sickness remedy before your trip and stand outside near the stern of the boat rather than sitting inside.

  Ferry fare and bike hire for 4 people. What would you expect to pay? Well I did not expect the $700 total that we got! We returned early due to poor weather, and no refund for bike hire, just a credit towards next time. At these rates who can afford Rotto nowadays?

  Bikes and snorkel gear were easy to hire along with the ticket to Rottnest Island. Staff were efficient with boarding and departure.

  Our third attempt to see whales in Aussie. Due to bad weather we didn't see whales in Tazzie so we decided to try Rottnest Fast Ferries before flying back home.
  
  In only two hours we saw plenty of whales.
  
  Great value for money! We had 1.5 hrs of whale watching!
  
  We liked the hotel pick-up as well. Because the harbour is located outside Perth CBD.
