Lake Richmond is fascinating and a pleasant walk. Bird life, wild flowers, native plants and animals can be seen. Pelicans star here, but may be upstaged by a variety of frog songs. Astonishing sounds pursue you walking the urban bushland trails. Of environmental/scientific significance. Also, in my opinion, a breeding ground for tiger snakes. May be dangerous. Not suitable for small children despite play sets.

The diversity of this area is surreal. The beautiful beach and Shoalwater bay only 1 km away, and then Lake Richmond. Walking around the lake you wouldn't think that you are this close to the coast. I love this area!
