Stayed here for two nights and the first thing I noticed was that the campsites are well spaced apart, around 10 metres between each one with trees in between to give you more privacy. It also might of just been good luck but all the surrounding campers around the grounds were all well behaved, no rowdy or noisy people around which was a huge plus. Can't make your own campfire but they do have communal fire pits as well as drop toilets which were surprisingly very clean. No showers but Preston Beach is only a 10 minute drive away and has showers there you can use. No warning signs or anything on the website about the lake being extremely salty and not good for people to swim in, this is the only reason it gets 4 stars. DO NOT SWIM IN THE LAKE, your skin will get very dry and may cause skin rashes and severe itchiness.. Great campsite though, would definitely come back.
Good bbq and ablution facilities. Very kid friendly. 10min from beach on a rough corrugated road. Camp volunteer friendly and helpful who cleans the facility daily.
