The problem is that the bike builds are of awful quality. My bike there cost 1.15k without pedals and I expected a good bike; certainly the groupset and other specs looked good. However, they spare money on other things: within 6 months I completely run down the break pads; the breaks were misaligned from beginning and cheap. After first month the break cable lever got rusty. After a year I noticed that the wheel spokes are all rust and I'm not sure its safe to ride it. The handle bar tape looks like it will fall apart. Yet, I took very good care of the bike: kept it always clean, stored in dry garage, used it only twice a week for commute and got it wet less than dozen times. Wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for a bike that will last.
The service was good and the bike was ok but I came back after one month and the shop is shutdown with no signs saying if they moved. Considering they said to bring it back at this time for a service. Poor customer care.
Was very disappointed with Reid cycles, looking online and in their store seems like a great business. But staff are very unhelpful and often rude, and don't take any responsibility and seem to have no regard for their customers. Terrible experience. Its worth spending a few extra hundred dollars and buying from a more reliable company.
It started well but now left very disappointed. I purchased from the Sydney store. I had decided to buy from them over cheaper online bikes because they had a store that could offer service into the future. Firstly when I bought the bike they were out of racks and bottles. I had to chase them multiple times but in fairness, months later, they have now delivered them to me . I contacted head office about what happens if the bike requires servicing now store is closed and they said "We are unable to do anything more than this". This includes the free service that was part of the deal I paid for. Next time I will buy a bike from a company that actually support their products.
Was a busy store but we received friendly, knowledgeable advice around a number of options. Our bike came with 2 free services and a great price package for helmet, lock etc. Would go back anytime to purchase and service my bike in the future. Keep it up !
Bought a commuter scooter - arrived nice and quickly. It developed an issue: took it in to the Parramatta rd store, they fixed it in 10 mins no worries. Lunchtime Monday certainly wasn't busy, so the one guy easily managed the customers. Sadly 2 weeks later a weld failed but again customer service didn't fail. I took it back, they saw the problem and said they'd look at it further to see what to do. This time they were obviously busy, so I left my details. They called back the next day with a warranty replacement and an apology for not fixing it the day before.
The staff are great and extremely helpful.
One gentleman in particular; Derek, worked hard to find a bike that was right for my lifestyle. He was nothing but kind, helpful and patient as I made up my mind and gave it a test ride. Extremely impressed! Five stars for him!
