The post by Tom Kearney is not what happened the first time he came here he was advised to buy a new radiator but told me he had no money and can I patch it up. This occurred a few times until he finally agreed to get the radiator recored , now he blames us for his decisions.

Misdiagnosis of problem. Told my right radiator tank was cracked and needed replacement. That that was the issue. Pay for a right tank to be ordered and replaced. 400 bucks.

On the day Im meant to pick up my car, I get told my left radiator tank is also cracked. That it now needs to be ordered and replaced as well. Another week. Another 400.

When I pick up my car, I'm told "It SHOULD be fine now" as the guy looks over it, obviously not very confident of his work.

I get home – a 2 minute drive away – and radiator fluid is leaking everywhere. I call immediately to inform him. He's unsure of what the problem could be. I'll have to bring it back.

I need to do some driving around before it goes back, as I've been without my car for weeks. By the time I take a trip to the supermarket and a run to Bunnings, the tank is completely empty. I take it back for further inspection.

I get a call. I need a whole new radiator, apparently. We agree on a total price, including labour. $590. I ask again, "Is this the final figure, everything, including labour?"

    "Yes".

I get a call to inform me that the car will be longer, as they've broken one of my new tanks fixing the radiator. I have to wait longer for a new tank to come in. He assures me I wont have to pay for the new tank. I ask what the total will be, knowing full well we had agreed on $590.

    "$640", he says.

"Im pretty sure our agreed amount was under $600 mate" I say.

"Ahh, well I'm barely charging for the labour, its $640."

Funny, each tank itself is worth approximately $50. So I figure I'm getting hit up for the tank they busted as well. That's fine, but you're getting a poor review for it.

We agree that I can pick up my car at 5pm on Wednesday night, as I have an appointment in the city I need to get to Thursday morning.

I cant make it Wednesday night at closing time, so assume it will be ready at 9am on Thursday morning.

I just called moments ago, and it won't be ready until 5pm, tonight.

"We agreed it would be ready at 5pm last night mate, so I expected I could come and pick it up today" I say on the phone, moments ago.

"Oh I thought it was 5pm tonight".

No. Nothing we have ever agreed on in this experience has ever been met. Rabbas, from my experience, has been unreliable, disingenuous and unapologetic. They don't seem thorough in their work and their price is more than triple their original estimate. They don't meet agreed times, don't seem to check their own work and don't really seem to care all that much about it either.

A thoroughly frustrating and expensive experience.
