  I've never heard much about Portland Golf Club so was really pleasantly surprised.
  The course is situated beside the ocean, front 9 is shorter and has some lovely ocean views, back 9 more difficult & works it's way away from the ocean.
  The course is relatively flat with some minor undulations.
  The tees are couch, mostly kikuyu fairways & tight bent greens & surrounds.
  The course is heavily treed in some areas with many very large mature native & pine trees. Other areas of strategic heavy rough mean hitting the fairways is vital if you want to score.
  I was very impressed with the condition of the course, particularly the tees & greens, it looks like many have had a redesign in recent times.
  Green fees are $20/9, $30/18.
  Definitely recommend playing here if you visit Portland.
