Lovely, clean apartments just out of the town centre. The super helpful and friendly proprietors Peter and Amanda really made it a good stay and were a source of excellent advice.

We had such a wonderful time at the Outrigger. Amanda and Peter couldn't do enough for us, especially when it came to our daughter with Special Needs, they were fantastic and very accommodating. The location was in a fabulous spot and easy to walk to the main street. Would highly recommend the Outrigger for your stay in Port Douglas.

We didn't stay here but a friend of ours did, and the management were so welcoming and knew all the guests by name. Made us feel at home even though we were just visiting.

Premature to fully rate yet as only part way through stay. Amanda & Peter are most accommodating, continuously offering to assist us with activity bookings (they have taken a real interest in what we may want to do). The rooms are of a fantastic standard & I love the lagoon-styled pool. Location is central to the main strip which was one of our main requirements. This is not the place for you if you after room service at 1am. This is a self contained apartment (on the off chance there may be some confusion there).

I stayed here for just over a week with my partner early in the New Year. From the very beginning Amanda and Peter were so welcoming. It was a pleasure to greet them each day and they were always around if we needed anything.
The room was spacious and very clean. We chose accommodation that had a kitchen and this room had everything we needed.
The short 5min walk into the main street is so convenient. The Outrigger is in a perfect spot so it's close but not close enough to attract the noise from the town.
It's so ingenious that Amanda and Peter have set up a fridge where people leaving can drop their unused grocery items. It's been really handy to pick up some of those necessities instead of buying them, even saving a trip to the supermarket.
Overall our experience has been great and we'll certainly consider a trip back in future.response / report this review -

Great central location, an easy stroll to Marina, 4 mile beach or Macrossan Steverything at our fingertips!!!Beautiful tropical setting Peaceful and Quiet, without the hustle and bustle AND NIGHT NOISE of busy Macrossan St. Super friendly hosts welcomed us, making us feel like part of the family. Loved it.

What can I say from the moment we arrived to the outrigger we were greeted by Amanda and Peter two of the sweetest and friendliest hosts you will ever meet.My 2 young daughters loved them.The room was amazing modern,big and very clean we felt very comfortable and it didn't break the bank more importantly!great for couples and families I would recommend this place to anyone we will definitely be back!

I have just returned home after spending a very pleasant time at the Outrigger. Suitable for solos, couples or families, this is a little gem hidden in a perfect location, a 5 minute walk from the mariner and the main street. The apartments are fantastic, self contained and perfect if you want to self cater and they are run by people who really go out of their way to make sure that your time is enjoyable. I am looking forward to heading back there!
