It's a real short drive off the highway, and the few turns and stretching straights make for a quick aesthetic drive to your location of destination. The car-park is simple, sorrounded by the ponds themselves and the tall swamp grass that comes with it. You have the option of an up to date toilet facility, if all the water starts to make you want to go. There is a real nice, mysterious walk only a couple hundred metres, hedged and hidden by all the grass and native fauna. When you reach the ponds, it really is an awe inspiring site, and i haven't seen anything quite like it.

Worth walking to the pontoon for a look. A permit is required to dive or snorkel. Swimming isn't allowed.

You can snorkel through this amazing underwater world. If you’re have the right equipment you can dive into a huge underwater cavern called The Cathedral.

Great fun snorkling the ponds. Recommend coming during the middle of the day so the sun is overhead

We snorkelled here, interesting place lots of amazing plantlife and you can see the caves from above. A bit murky when we went but apparently on still days you can see right down into the bottom of the caves from the surface. No guides or rangers around here so best go with a friend for safety. Best place to hire snorkel gear and wetsuits is from the General Store/Dive shop in Allensdale East for 35$/day.
