Claim processing is slow and painful. They find every reason to push back and slow down/reject the process. Simple things like: invoice shows 'open' versus paid, asking 'reason for claim'. When a dog is unwell and attends the vet then receives treatment that should be evident. Have Trupanion with my other dog and will be moving over with this guy as well. The minor price difference is justified with direct billing and seamless claims processing.

We have used Pet Secure to insure our dogs for around 20 years and during this long period they have provided best in class service. Our claims are dealt with quickly and with no fuss; and their communications are consistently clear and very professional. And they have shown real empathy when we lost two of fur kids. Our pups (we have two standard poodles) are now 10 years old and that’s how long we have been with pet secure. We have had no issues with claims over the years which gets automatically done at the vet and the payments sent through to our bank accounts within a couple of weeks - no delays or hassles.

Recently I have had great experience with Petsecure, extremely fast reimbursement of claims and no issues at all. If I was rating on the last year I would give 5 for service and claims processing. Reducing points for historical issues with arguments about what was covered and the poor way those things were dealt with; and for the extraordinary increase in premiums once you start claiming for a dog with issues. I currently still have both of my large breed dogs insured via Petsecure, but the increasing premiums are making that a tougher decision each renewal.
