Another reviewer wrote that there weren't signs about the $10 minimum, it was clearly posted when I went there and I changed my order accordingly. While I do find it annoying, I understand that card fees kill small business.
Cute wee cafe that does a variety if food and drinks.
Rude staff, ripoff prices. I won't be back
Nice coffee, cosy cafe, friendly staff. Our family had a pie, almond croissant, doughnuts and bacon and egg Turkish bread sandwich - all was really tasty. There are a few books and toys for the kids too which made sitting and relaxing easier as they're entertained.
The food is absolutely beautiful and very nice customer service and the people are very lovely as well.
This place is the place to go if you want good coffee and food. Its excellent
Unless you are a local and regular, don't go here. The owner is rude and sarcastic and the staff need to learn to smile. If you don't like your job, don't come. We asked if they did eggs Benedict and got the response 'well is it on the menu?". So we then decided we were going to leave, however had already ordered two coffees so drank those and went to pay the $9 and was told $10 min for card. (No signs anywhere). So I offered to pay the 20c fee that they will be charged for it from the bank which they refused and told me I needed to buy something else (min cost item was around $4 for another coffee or $8 for a food item. I said I'd just pay the $10 on the card to get me out of there which they again said they couldn't do. So I said well they should put up a sign saying min eftpos before people order. To which they replied they don't need to. Anyway moral of the review. Don't go here. They don't deserve business with their poor attitudes. Many other better places for coffee anyway. Their coffee was average at best.
Forget about Portsea vanilla slices, this place is simply brilliant. Very knowledgeable staff, top service!
Great hide away coffe spot. Great baking.
Excellent coffee. A bit of a tight squeeze if you want to sit and drink but the quality has not disappointed yet.
Love this place - great food and service, also a big range of different things to choose from.
Hidden in the backstreets of Rye, Peninsula pantry is a cute little place to stop and grab some items like muffins, pies, sausage rolls and some drinks.
I grabbed the sausage roll and vanilla slice. Highlight was easily through vanilla slice. Probably one of the better ones I've had so far around the Peninsula.
Staff were really nice, but running around all over the place making it feel more chaotic than relaxed. But give it a look if you're in the area!
