So sad that this place has closed. I hope that when they reopen in the new location that the quality remains of the same standard. Amazing seafood but by far the stand out dish on the menu was the eye fillet steak. I had mine 'blue' and truly believe it should be on everyone's bucket list!

Beautiful location on the to river in Port Douglas. It's know for having a Groper visit for a feed around 5 everyday. You need to get there early to get a good vantage point. The bar and restaurant have a great vibe with the location driving that. Beer is cold and food, especially the seafood is fantastic. Staff very friendly with the bar man whipping up a moctail for the kids. I would recommend booking in advance.

Great fresh seafood, mostly local or regional. Popular place so I'd recommend booking ahead as it was very busy.

Beautiful, delicious quality food. Bit pricey in comparison to some but usual for seafood based restaurants. Service was great too 🙂

Best seafood in Port Douglas. The platter for two (with Mud Crab) is more like a platter for four. Cocktails are expensive but the outlook across the water is great. Service is also great. As a bonus, staff are happy to make their food allergy friendly.

This place is packed for the groper feeding at 5pm if you are lucky you'll see a flash of a big fish as he wolfs down a morsel.

After that the food is great, the view is also good and the staff on a whole are well versed in service.

Dinner with a view -perfect setting with views of the sun setting over the rainforest. The staff are super friendly and the food is great. Fresh catch of the day comes in different sizes so you can enjoy one on your own or share. The signature fish curry is amazing and also changes the type of fosh daily. The earlier you book the better is the table you get!

    Pros
We had the calamari and Cajun prawn. They were great. Atmosphere is great, it was only out doors though. But there were no flies or other bugs.

    Cons
Price was high, but at par with other restaurants on the area, but smaller portions.

Busy place and the service was a little slow.

One of the best customer service in port Douglas and great seafood dishes. From the mussell and Cajun prawn entrees to the seafood marinara, steak and coral trout, everything was very tasty, well presented and delicious.

Cannot get over the customer service too! We were well looked after from arriving to departing. Cost of food definitely matches the quality of food and service.

This place is incredible! Every meal was amazing The natural oysters, the Cajun grilled prawns, the whole fried baby snapper and the hero of the night, the Singaporean chilli mud crab. Beautiful flavours, perfectly cooked seafood in a lovely relaxed but not too informal setting over the water. The staff are friendly and attentive too. This was so good we've booked to go again tonight!

If you're on the hunt for a special meal, don't waste your time and money at Nautilus, go to On the Inlet. It is awesome!
