Girls! Pay attention now! If you need a mechanic then Moneypenny Mechanical is the place for you. I had not been to this mechanic before and needed my road safety certificate done. The boys at Moneypenny were lovely and very nice to deal with. From the first phone call through to the explanation of what needed to be done, I felt respected and they were very professional. This is a family business and I must say it is very well run and they deliver great customer service. The boys outlined what I needed and booked me in and also made sure that I would have a courtesy car for the day. I am a local and feel miffed that I had not found this Gem of a mechanic sooner!!

aweful service, while asking for some explainations they were laughing at me and I'm a girl. They let my battery die, never happened before and you'll never expect that from a mechanic. I'll strongly DO NOT recommend this place to anybody as they try with all their effort to rip you off. I'm sure the other reviews are wrote from parents or friends. Really bad service in Cairns

Can't recommend enough. These guys did our road worthy, quickly identified the repairs needed, showed us pictures of the issues, booked us in for three days later and did a great job. They were able to do the repairs needed, plus some extras along the way for a lot less than they originally quoted and were all really friendly. Thank you!

I was first introduced to Phil & Karen(Founder/Co-Founder) at Monypenny Mechanical some years ago. Real people !
Donny and Lani complete the team at this most wonderful workshop.
This place is immaculate.
Seriously.
A workshop of this caliber can only show proof of the pride and effort that you will have reflected into the fine tuning and servicing your vehicle will receive, when it is tended to, by this A1 team.
My car has had a complete 'Monypenny Makeover'! WOW! What a difference.
These guy's love the stuff!
Can't get enough!
They are very passionate of their work.
They will go to any length to give you, the customer, the performance you would expect at a very reasonable price.
The high standard of the team must be met, for themselves.
My car just loves to go there and I love to take it there.
There is 'Nowhere Else'.
They do absolutely everything for a motorcar.
From the Road to the Roof !
It is all covered, with the knowledge and expertise that Phil and the team have, of all cars.
AND for the LADIESSo many mechanics say they have replaced a part and they haven't !
At Monypenny Mechanicalconsider it DONE !
If you want to buy a B.B.Q you go to Bunnings !
If you want a Dog Wash, you go to PetBarn !
Folk's. If you want a car service of the century .You go to Monypenny Mechanical !
Or you'll 'GO NOWHERE' !
Be my guest and discover it for yourself. 🚘😚

Have been a customer of Monypenny Mechanical for approximately 11 years now. Have had three different vehicles in that time and can not fault their service, workmanship or price once in all those years.
Phil and Donny have always been patient and knowledgeable in explaining what needs doing or what work was done. They are the first place I have not felt looked down on or condescended to when taking my car in just because I am a female. Thanks heaps guys!response / report this review -

Friendly service with a quick turnaround. Put my car in for a service at 8:00 am (before business hours) and received a text to say it was completed at 12:30pm. This made it very convenient for me as I work in town and find it difficult to escape the office at any time other than lunchtime.

This is definitely my go-to mechanic.
The senior mechanic, Donny, owned a Nissan Navara like mine so it's comforting to know he knows my vehicle inside out.
Great pricing.
Always happy with the workmanship.response / report this review -

Phil & Karen are just AWESOME!
Family owned and run workshop with genuine concern for you & your vehicle.
Phil is one of the most senior qualified mechanics in the Cairns region who can trouble shoot things other mechanics can never find.
Monypenny Mechanical have been looking after my family vehicle for years and I wouldn't trust anyone else with it.
Thank you Phil & Karen..!!!response / report this review
