Authentic Mexican food in the Highlands. Located in the back of the Mittagong hotel, La Cantina is warm and casual for a late dinner or for the family. Affordable, ample mains with the option to eat inside or out on the patio. Counter service but definitely with a personal flare. Cannot fault the cuisine, the spicy salsa is AMAZING. We are frequent visitors working our way through the expanding menu, definitely worth taking the chance on Mexican pub fare what a contradiction for the Highlands!

Nothing fancy, quite low key but building is quite old which is cool, and very cheap mexican which is really good for the price I believe.

Stayed here for 7 nights in january. Room was clean and comfortable.as they say not the hilton but a good country pubbeing a female solo traveller i felt safe at all times.lovely hotel to just sit and have a drink. locals lovely and ready for a chat or just a hi..staff and management very helpful.accommodation price was great which was the main reason i stayed the rest was a bonus. .and im going back in a few months as a stop over on my holidays .would recommend staying here .
