Food was good cocktails were good - was going to give them 5 stars but the service of the waiter
Meal was good, but had the privilege of having some genuine good service from a great waitress. Tip to her well done. The place has a great ambient feel as well.
Great setting, excellent and friendly service. Highly recommend.
This wine bar is truly a GEM! It’s one of my new favorite spots in Sydney for great wines, homemade pasta and delicious little nibbles. Chef Luca is so charismatic and friendly- he made me amazing vegetarian gnocchi and said he can create entirely vegan set menus too! So know that this place is vegetarian-friendly and can be vegan-friendly too! I will absolutely be back soon for some tasty cocktails. It’s be a great place to host a birthday party or holiday party too.
Absolutely amazing food and service. We had to order a couple of the dishes twice they were so delicious. Will be returning!
An old wool store converted into a boutique hotel with a lobby restaurant?
Yep, that's the case of Mister Percy, near Harbourside shopping centre and some other Darling Harbour hotels, and just a short trip from central Sydney's CBD, this is quite a find, as the food was excellent.
The menu is extensive, with lots of choice, incuding vegetarian dishes. Mediterranean-inspired, the emphasis is on healthy, flavour-filled plates to share around the table.
The interior is cosy, intimate and chic, with parts of the old building, as well as eclectic furniture and furnishings, making it an interesting place to be. The vibe is relaxed and casual.
The staff were very professional, but also very friendly, and gave good advice on navigating through the menu.
We ordered a range of snacks, small bites, shared pasta dishes and sides, and all were tasty, nicely presented and freshly made.
Prices were quite reasonable, (from a few dollars to around $20 for antipasti plates, less than $30 for pasta shared plates and under $40 for mains), and the quality was consistently very high. Best dish was a pasta plate with mushrooms from the Blue mountains.
Overall, lots to recommend. And would visit again.
Agreement among us was that it was the best of our meals during our holiday in Sydney.
Elegant, chic, lounge bar situated on the ground floor of the Ovolo 1888 boutique hotel.
Ideal place to take a first date if you want to impress, or perhaps somewhere to start the evening on the right foot if taking your spouse on a romantic 'date night'. I would recommend business attire or smart casual - you would be out of place in a Hi-Viz vest or distressed jeans and t-shirt.
Extensive drinks menu, though some of the wines are quite expensive. We opted for gins and tonic which I thought reasonable at $10 each.
Excellent, professional, table service. Complimentary WiFi: ask for access code.
