I've worked in the motor industry for 15 years. I just bought a used car that has a few gremlins. When I dropped in to Midas Campbelltown with questions just before Christmas 2016 I didn't know what to expect. I thought I may be turned away. It was late in the day and almost Christmas. There were cars everywhere and the workshop was not the cleanest I have seen. Some auto industry franchises can be hit and miss.
But what I found was a man who has zero "attitude". Who is friendly, patient, softly spoken, smart and is totally across his business and his staff. A mechanic who has experience and knowledge and strong relationships with a network of quality car related business in the area. A very good listener and communicator and a mechanic who I now know, gained many years of broad mechanical experience, including ground-up engine building and re-conditioning before he started his own business.
Rob was genuinely interested in my car, wanted to understand what was going on with it, listened to everything I told him, and wanted to help. That has never changed, every visit has been the same. Generous with advice, deliberate and not in a rush, he has made every visit easy and worth while. He's pragmatic, straight forward and it shows in his business and his staff that he really cares about people.
I have found a South Western Sydney Macarthur area mechanic who I will take my Mum's car to for servicing. I've been trying workshops in the area since 2007, on behalf of Mum (Nissan Maxima), including Nissan, NRMA and others. I have been disappointed or worse until now.
This is the second time in my life I have bothered to do a Google review. Every interaction with Rob and his team at Midas Campbelltown has been good for me. The best experience I have had with a motor mechanic in Australia. I would happily choose to travel to get work done at Rob's shop. Don't go there for a workshop floor you could eat food off. Go there for utterly competent work, to be treated like a human being and for a car that works.response / report this review -

I know nothing about cars, and that's very obvious to mechanics. I actually bought a really old bucket of crap as a project car and took it to these guys because I live three hours away and needed to make sure it was safe to take home. They were really busy but let me leave the car there until they had time, they also knew that I knew nothing about cars but we're very honest and helpful and didn't mess me around like other mechanics have. They fixed a minor problem and told me the car was safe to drive and also helped me by showing me where the oil goes (never driven a van before) and told me how to look after it properly. They were really helpful and honest and friendly, would definitely use them again :)

I came in without an appointment and they fit me in on a Saturday 2pm and fixed my problem. Not only the that the price the charged me was unbelievable. Thank you so much to the staff at Midas especially the young guy who fixed me car so fast.

this is the best and safest place to get service i have been around every car service centre in campbelltown to liverpool straight
this is the best and only place to get a good service and quote which does not change you can go any where from campbelltown camden liverpool and you will end up back to midas the bestresponse / report this review
