I was reffered to take my Camry to Melton Toyota to check a noise in the transmission, it wasn't my choice to go there but an obligation from the dealer warranty, after losing 5 days the car was sitting at their workshop they contacted me to say that the fuel injectors need cleaning (not related to the transmission' problem!!) and the cost is $260. I said OK. One hour later they called to say the fuel injectors need replacement and the cost is $1700 for a genuine set . I asked if I could get a set of aftermarket injectors as the genuine ones are extremely expensive (changing the fuel injectors wasn't the reason for taking my car there) , they said no problem and quoted me over $1900 to get a set of injectors from Burson (more expensive than Toyota's ?!) I contacted Burson to find out that the cost was FAR below that cost, $1120 . I felt it was a ripoff, they were trying to make as much money as they can quickly. I asked to take my car as they have NEVER checked the main problem, they charged me $198 for doing NOTHING.
I was able to clean the fuel injectors at the fraction of the cost and saved over $1500
Do NOT trust what they tell you what your car needs their main goal is to make money regardless if you REALLY should spend it, it is a real ripoff

I can't say that I would recommend Melton Toyota. Apart from the salesman who needed to defer to his superior for nearly every phone call I made (sometimes leaving me waiting for over 15 mins) concerning the purchase of my Camry Hybrid, to not doing the 60000 km Service which was well and truly overdue, to forgetting to give me the User Manual and Service Book, to driving off (the car was delivered to a town that was closer to me than Melton) taking the car keys with them.
When I rang them regarding the over due service, they said that the service was at their discretion but they would do it if I travelled the 3 hr drive back to Melton and they would do it for nothing. As if!! They tried to have my local dealer do an internal service but weren't prepared to pay the local dealer the amount asked but only half the amount. Just shows how much mark up these dealerships sting the public with. Both Melton and my local Toyota Dealerships have lost my support. I run a taxi so they will be the losers in the long run.

Took my car in for a service, everything was quick and easy from the paper work to the pick up. Very friendly staff and the waiting area has some nice amenities like coffee, tea, coaches, tv, wifi, tables, even a charging cable. Much better experience here then another well known Toyota dealership in the west

Hi I'll start with my name it's Charles MY experience with my 2016 Sr5 TOYOTA HILUX has been one big eye opener.
Since the new model HILUX came out I have personally found out that these items are the WORST HILUX ever built.
Unless you drive on the freeway I was told your HILUX will destroy the DPF filter and always need replacing.
once out of warranty this will cost $3000-$4000 every time the DPF filter NEEDS replacing.
my UTE had the burn of at 21000kms and then again at 23000kms updated software to stop the motor blowing a massive amount of smoke.
made all these lights come on my dash board and now it's saying DPF full and Engine check.
Also my transmission is sleeping and smashing in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th but won't go into 5th or 6th gear and at 100km an hour my UTE sits on 3000rpm.
I have a massive list of things that have been changed on me UTE including my tailshaft that has no impact anymore to the jolting in my start and stop position but I've been told that's all in my head by the experts.
on start up my transmission is so tight to get out of park that it makes a loud slapping sound but that's all normal too THEY told me, so I got an email saying there is no problem with my transmission and that I drive my car on purpose so that all these problems occure.
I run my own business and due to the time this UTE spends of the road I have lost thousands of dollars.
But I get told I can't drive my ute anymore cause it might, just might damage the UTE.
But no one will fix it straight away I must go back and forwards to TOYOTA.
WAS told to take my car yesterday cause they had a ute that suited for my needs so I drive all the way to the dealer so that I stop driving my UTE only to find the service manager only wanted to give me an old HILUX that just got TRADED that day that was UNROADWORTHY.
So I refused to take the car and decided to leave with my ute.

These guys at MELTON TOYOTA threatened to SUE me in January if I mentioned MELTON TOYOTA or name and sue me for Defamation.

SO I AM TELLING EVERYONE NOT TO BUY FROM MELTON TOYOTA. Sorry to all the HILUX lovers as I swore black and blue that TOYOTA was the best but now I hate TOYOTA with a passion for all the stress it's putting and my wife and I and the loss of income.

HOPE WHO EVER READS MY REVIEW HELPFULL, AND DECIDE NOT TO BUT A TOYOTA FROM THEM.

I brought a second hand car. The service and help from Sam, Mark, mitch and the rest of the team from start to finnish was outstanding. Everyone is eager to help above and beyond. Staff Very friendly with great sense of humour. I will deal with and refer my friends and family as my experience was fantastic.

Really salesy, I requested a test drive and the sales guy asked me to sit on the passenger side. I was confused at first but decided to just see what the sales guy was up to. He started driving the car and after a few kms of him driving maybe just realised that it was me who requested to test drive the Camry. Then he parked in a parking and asked me to try it then. After the drive, he asked me what did I think. I said pick up felt a little under powered and ride was a little jumpy for a ew car. Should have seen his face as he felt offended. I don't want to put names, just hope you treat people better. Good luck selling cars, cause I ain't buying from you.
