  May i first start by saying that Dave no longer is at this location in Williamstown
  he has moved lock stock and barrel to Dalesford Victoria
  and calls himself
  Melbourne Gates fences and Automatic Gates
  same phone number and same website
  
  our experience has been one of Frustration and Anxiety as we paid in full prior to receiving product.
  
  first we ordered the Posts all fine although there was a delay
  
  directions told when building fence to allow 1 meter opening for gates of which we have 3 . This was carried out by our Builder
  
  Then in May ordered the emu wire and 3 gates
  Payment in full on order never again !
  
  After weeks of numerous calls and emails we finally did get an answer by email "our gates were not ready but your emu wire is" we picked up the emu from the Powder Coaters in North Geelong .
  
  We then went through the same lengthy process of calls and emails for the 3 gates
  
  weeks later we received text " gates ready"
  we drove to Dalesford to Pick up
  when fitted by builder 2 were incorrect made with a measurement of 950 at the bottom and 925 at the top gates looked shocking as they were out of Square . see Picture
  
  told Dave his response " having issues with My gate gig"
  i will make you 2 more new ones
  
  same process again Phone and emails txt " gates ready pick up from Dalesford Saturday morning
  
  Monday builder inspects gates correct measurement but !!!! powder coating damaged ,and sprayed with flat black paint sprayed to cover damage and repair to welds
  
  sections of gate flat black in appearance
  
  emailed Dave back (as by now i have found its pointless ringing him goes to message each time and ask for return call ??????/ not one !)
  responding that we still not happy 2 weeks later no response thus this rant .
  its off to VCAT
  
  the gates cost $500 each so to get a good product would not be unreasonable

  Never finished the job, terrible service, has never worked from day one and calls were not returned. it is now going to cost us more to have a new motor fitted as the one that was put on in the first place was completely wrong for the gate supplied, it will cost us more to fixed that it cost in the first place due to poor quality motor fitted, not power coated as quoted and the wrong hinges used for a gate of the weight of ours. Rust already showing after less than 2 years. NEVER EVER USE THEM!!!

  Similar problem to most it seems, sent an email requesting a quote, followed up with phonecall but no response. Not sure why bother having a website if not responding to customers?

  So rude, don't bother wasting your time !!
  I was asked by Dave to send in pics and measurements so I could obtain a quote. 2 emails and 3 phone calls later I am still waiting. I finally got
  through to Dave. He could not have been more rude, disinterested, and
  vague throughout the phone call. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE what so ever !!
  DONT WASTE YOUR TIME or EFFORT with this company. it will get you
  nowhere..
  if there was a minus score I would have done so.

  I'm so happy and want to thank Melbourne Gates for fixing my fence. The lovely gentleman really thought outside of the box and made my gate look amazing. I can't wait to tell everyone about you and your services.
