Great location and building design. Went to see the black rider which was excellent. Pleasant area to have a drink after.

A real Melbourne establishment that is not afraid to push the boundaries. Very eclectic shows catering to a wide range of tastes, something for everyone but not everything for everyone, which is perfect. They've got integrity here, plus a fantastic bar and restaurant.

It's a breathtaking compound. The venues I have been in were comfortable, with plenty of leg room, the bar well-stocked, and every employee I spoke with helpful and engaging.

[Note: reviewing this place in its capacity as a bar/cafe open to the general public, not in its capacity as a theatre venue.] Great space for a summer evening drink in the courtyard area, with decent light meals and sandwiches available throughout the day. Plenty of inside seating too. Bar isn't always open but the cafe also serves alcohol.

Great venue for shows - nice bar downstairs and the setup is good. Came through to see two comedy shows they had on one night - a little easier to park at than shows in the city proper.

Terrible customer service. I carelessly booked my theatre tickets on a different night and when I went to the box office it wasn't there. The manager did not give me any alternatives. She didn't even look at me in the eye. She was so engrossed looking at her computer and surfing the net. I later found out after complaining to upper management that she could have offered me the tickets at a discounted rate which I would be willing to do! The man who worked there was about to give me the options of a discounted price but the manager snapped his head off and so I was left with nothing! She either had a grudge on me or had a "bad" day at work. So unfortunately I was given her baggage and suffered! Never going there again!

Great theatre. I have seen many good plays there. Highly recommended to take a look at the program. Great cafe and atmosphere. An icon of Melbourne

Theatre with a difference. Intimate theatres, performances varied, thought-provoking and generally excellent.
Just attended "The Encounter" and was blown away, have never been to anything like it. Based around excellent sound tech, the audience was transported deep into the Amazon Rainforest. Stunning!
