Everything was great, twin room good value, mostly clean, lovely staff. Only downside was paying for luggage storage and if you did want a shower after checking out. Fair enough if you weren't staying there originally but they don't provide you with much when you are a guest i.e free breakfast or dinner, even at a really cheap rate, like a lot of hostels we have stayed in recently.

One of the best hostels I've been to in Arlie Beach. Very helpful and lovely staff! No surprises or other nonsense. Close to everything and a great vibe. Can recommend magnums Backpackers to everyone!

Magnums is a nice hostel. The rooms and also the kitchen are really clean. The dorm rooms are big with a nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and it was fun being there. The hostel has a great atmosphere with a pub and when I was there they had some live music, it was really good.

Stayed here one night, was one of the nicer hostels that I've stayed at. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Airlie is a small town so everything is within walking distance. The grocery store and liquor store along with many restaurants are right beside the hostel. My only suggestion would be if you're coming to Airlie for a sailing trip or other excursion, consider booking through Magnums as you will get 1 or 2 nights of free accommodation at the hostel! Also they have cheap and secure luggage storage when you are away for an adventure! $5 per person for a whole weekend!

Great live music, decently priced beer. Enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were all very friendly etc! Stayed for a few pints until the music ended!

I stayed at both magnums and nomads while in Airlie and can say without hesitation that magnums is the superior hostel. The location, the staff and the rooms were all great. The rooms are set back away from the bar surrounded by trees which was super relaxing - this differed from nomads where our room wasn't pretty much next to the bar and we could barely sleep. The facilities at magnums were great and the staff were really helpful. As a solo female traveller I would highly recommend magnums.

Overall awesome place for a reasonable price. The environment had a very cool laid back tropical island vibe and the staff was friendly. There's always something happening each of the 2 nights we stayed. The downside was the 8 bed dorm we stayed. It wasn't very clean, there was only 1 bathroom and the water temperature was off at times. Hence the 3 star rating.

Our stay was great and priced perfectly. Nothing too fancy, but also nothing too plain. The hostel is located in central Airlie Beach and is close to many bars, shops, and facilities. The adjoining bars and eateries are great. We loved the pizza. The rooms were clean and well presented, especially for a hostel. The grounds of the hostel are in order and quite clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We are used to staying at expensive hotels but this was a great alternative to an expensive condo rental.

Pretty big hostel with a nice kitchen area. But the facilities in the dorms are a bit weird. Bunk beds were really squiky.

A large establishment with food, drinks, entertainment and atmosphere. It was great fun going there and I normally end up there if staying overnight in Airlie. The staff are always friendly too!
