A truly unique and beautiful place to visit.
Food came out really quick and hot but the quality of my meal suggested that it may have been reheated or sitting for a while beforehand.
The shop was remarkable and cheap, it's a great place if you're looking for antique or old fashioned gifts.
Staff were really friendly and readily available to offer assistance.

A step back in time( like being at grandmas), the staff were absolutely lovely, the homemade food was very tasty, nice little place to stop at

When I came here it was the perfect place for a first date. Everything was welcoming cosy and comfortable. Inside is very very beautiful and the food was lovely. The gardens are simple but nice.

A "touch of the Olde Worlde" in South Gippsland. Great environment & delicious food, plus a great gallery for gifts.

My husband and I took interstate friends there for lunch.
The decor was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the retro background music. The berry dessert was delicious and the serving generous.
I ordered a salmon and asparagus quiche and could neither see nor taste even the slightest hint of salmon or asparagus. The ploughmans sandwiches were very ordinary. The beef pie was unseasoned mince and so boring it was tedious to eat.
The waitress was rude, rolling her eyes and embarrassing my guest when he told a 'dad joke'. I felt the need to apologize for her behavior.
I will certainly not go there again.
It's such a pity that the quality of service and food does not match that of the decor.

I have been to Lady Lavender several times, but today was somewhat disappointing----my niece didn't get the side salad she ordered and my sister-in-law was given the wrong order and had to wait while the rest of us were eating. When my sister asked for a bigger plate to share her Belgium Waffles (which were the frozen ones from the supermarket and ended up being hard as rocks) we were told " we don't give out extra big plates", My niece had a cup of hot water and was charged for it.
No splitting of bills either so I had to let my group know to bring plenty of change. Really?? In this day and age??
Not too sure that I'll be going back in a hurry - which is sad as it's a good place to meet up with friends. But they do give very generous servings although the menu never changes.

The waffles are to die for. Traditional furnishings and a nice garden. A little chilly inside. Nice little antique type shop next door

We dropped in to try their scones.. What a mistake that was!
The scones were reheated and as heavy as a lead fishing sinker.
Very disappointed to say the least and their prices were well over the top.!
I 'm sure there are better around the area than the lady lavender.!

Don't go there if you have a baby, don't go there if you have any disability, don't go there if you can't negotiate an overcrowded room, don't go there if you want to be made to feel welcome and have a relaxing time. The door keepers will not deviate from their no pram policy regardless. We felt frustrated and humiliated.
