I highly recommend stopping over this cafe when going doing the GOR trip. You will have unforgettable close encounters with koalas and birds..
nice little stop off on the Great Ocean Road, this is a great place to see and get close to cockatoos, lorakeets etc. as they sell bird feed in the cafe here. Make sure you wear long sleeves/a coat as the birds are not shy!
Can only really attest to enjoying a great flat white here - but this spot's location is great because you can observe koala's in the trees adjacent to the property as well as feed the many wild birds that are in the area. Definitely a must stop place while on the Great Ocean Road!
Stoped in for a quick bite but ended up ordering a meal and sitting in. Great take away options too. This place has a real Aussie feel too it and is a popular stop for tourists because of the road across from the cake having koalas and native birds that you can hand feed.
Good place to stop by at Great ocean road. Grab some bird food and feed it to the parrots who come eagerly to eat it from your hands and sit on your shoulders and head.. kids will enjoy seeing the parrots
I liked it a lot. Good place to havea quick bit. Not fancy but good, perhaps even a little too pricey. Here is the entrance to the Koala view, free!
Great burgers! Perfect place to stop by while on the Great Ocean Road and have a quick bite. Can feed countless parrots and other birds around and if you're lucky enough you can spot a dozing koala!
Nice small cafe. We had chicken burger and ginger ale which was good.
You can spot Koalas in the trees at just a 5 minute walk from the cafe.
OK stop for a quick bite. However the best bit is the wild birds (which really shouldn't be fed) and the koalas in the trees. Nice beach also.
Kafe Koala's definitely a great stop along the way to the Twelve Apostles. My girlfriend and I stopped for a quick toilet break but were pleasantly surprised by the friendly birds that would happily perch on you. Just wander about the trees to the left of the cafe to find yourselves covered by these beautiful creatures.
The toilets were a bit hard to find though, so make sure to ask for directions (they're located in the caravan park).
Beautiful home made sausage rolls, but for 2 and a Ice break $17.80 is a bit steep.
Lovely atmosphere around with the Koalas.
A must stop when driving on the Great Ocean Road. You can easily spot koalas resting on the trees here. Also, make sure you buy some birdseed, there are some very friendly parrots in the area that won't mind eating from your hand.
It's just the place to beonce you come for a visit you will understand whya loveable place
Great stop on the way to 12 Apostles. Perfect place to take friends and family visiting from overseas. Not so much the cafe, (basic and you need to use caravan park bathrooms) but for koalas behind the caravan park!
Great list of food and coffee. Service staff was excellent and welcoming. Child seat available (plus point) Kookaburra stole my fries but it was quite an experience up close with it on my plate (priceless). You can even gently rub its belly and take a photo with it. The koalas were hard to sight; but I managed to see one. Seeds available/sold to feed the parrots. Unfortunately the rain cut short our experience.
