Stayed at free camp. After enquiries at information centre was told it was ok to stay another night as it was off season. We spent $150 at IGA on food , dinner and drinks at hotel.. A obnoxious rude arogant council worker came around at 6 pm and rudely told us we had to get out. When i told him we had asked at information, he rudely told me ' no one at council would say that ! Move or i will issue an infringment !
We were on our way back to Adelaide as i am undergoing prostrate surgery next week but this arogant man didnt want to know.. the previous night german backpackers pitched a tent next to us. And 2 cars were slept in. WHERE WERE YOU THEN !
WILL NOT BE BACK . this town will lesrn that grey nomads contribute too much to treat them like this .

One of the rudest towns I have been in we have caravanned over 300.000 around oz we found Kingston sa the people are so unhappy .stayed at the free stop spent $ 50 in the town had a bad storm that night Did not wont to leave .hubby went to the post office to get some money out ask the man if we cloud stay another night in free camp he was soo rude and said why should give free camp to all well rude man the caravan park was $32 dollars a night .went past no one there. So remember sa gray nomads spend money .we spend about 9 months away from home .so south Australia if you won't people to stay in small towns please change your attitude .we will not be back .
