Annoyed that every time I go they seem to change the menu, and never for the better. Cocktails aren't nice. Had a strawberry daiquiri that tasted like cough syrup

We had 26 people booked for lunch on a Tuesday for a Group booking for $15pp. When we arrived at 12pm the meals were all ready as I rang ahead to let the staff know how many and what the dishes were.
The fish dish was very popular, I had the roast of the day which to me was just dreadful, the meat was dried out and the vegetables were over cooked, as well as not one piece of green on the plate.
I then told the waiter we were waiting for dessert which I thought had been booked the person who took our booking months before wrote in the book one meal for $10 each, I got so tired of going to the counter to find out where our desserts were and jugs of soft drinks.
After explaining to Steve that I booked the group booking months ago, he had to then confirm with another person, he then got into gear got out the urn cups and saucers, tea and coffee, plus we got our dessert and he worked so hard to please us.
I was disappointed with the whole episode, we did get free soft drinks and bread roll because of the "stuff up"
Thank you to Steve who got things right for us.
If the staff know there is going to be a bus load of people why didn't you put on extra staff.response / report this review -

When you're not from town and want to have a good night mid week dont bother coming here. Their website does not have accurate closing times and wasted our time completely. Why display your closing hour as 11pm when you cease trade at 10pm. Absolute joke.

Lovely place for families to have a descent size meal. Yummy food and the place has lots of things for kids to play. Friendly staff.

Huge serving sizes and tasty food means you definitely get value for money here. I highly recommend the chicken tandoori pizza - yum! This places loses a star for the food preparation time as we had to wait upwards of one hour for the food to be ready.
