Let me preface this review with the fact that I am a very hard marker. I took my wife here for lunch, on her birthday, last week.. The service was impeccable, the waiters were polite and the food was of the highest quality. We asked if we could sit right up to the railing next to the water and were told politely that the tables were reserved. A short time later a table became vacant, at the waters edge, so our waiter asked if we would like to move, which we did. The restaurant was a memorable experience. I would give the venue and the staff more stars if I could.
Superb seafood selection, meaty and oh the best you can try in Sydney. The wife loves the crabs and prawns with a glass of white wine. The best place to go to for lunch with a lovely view of the Sydney bridge
Great lunchtime location. A bit pricey but normal for this area. Service and food were excellent. Viewed are fantastic.
This restaurant is absolutely superb, from the service to the food. We have visited several times and wouldn't change a single thing. Highly recommended!
It was a very beautiful lunch with my wife. We were next to the water and with a great quality of food. Don't get confuse they have beautiful fish but the meat was simply great. I recommend this place 100%.
Yum oysters and prawns in a great setting. Bit pricey though but only to be expected given the location
Location can't be beat. Food was fresh and well prepared. Really enjoyed the shellfish platter.
Superb attentive service. Beautiful food presented impeccably. Cant get a better spot to have lunch on the best harbour in the world.
Located along Circular Quay, this restaurant is right by the water with views of the Harbour Bridge across the water & Opera House further in front. It is busy even at lunch time with a lot of tourists both local and international. I felt as if I were one of them being on vacation having lunch here on a weekday. There is an extensive wine list which is perfect when you have an afternoon to enjoy and not rush. The menu is seafood focused with a good range of choices. Starters of scallops & grilled scampi with lemon & herb butter were both delicious. But the grilled scallops with pork belly was so good & the favourite. For mains, it was a platter of fresh & oysters and prawns & a whole flounder that was ordered. The seafood were all fresh and simply prepared. It was good quality, sweet and delicious but nothing fancy. Service was friendly and efficient. It was an enjoyable experience & slightly indulgent for a weekday lunch!
Whilst I haven't eaten at the Oyster Bar, I have walked along there many times. The location is spectacular. You are on Sydney Harbour and have the benefit of expansive views. Plenty of fresh air, and it's very close to the Sydney Opera House. You could duck in for some oysters alongside an event at the Opera House. I enjoy a bite to eat after a Concert at Sydney Opera House
