Joy Cupcakes were a dream to work with. They were able to accommodate my short notice, large order with beautifully presented cupcakes and amazing customer service. Joy Cupcakes were able to deliver 30 boxes of cupcakes to our students and were so professional from enquiry to completion. Can't recommend Joy Cupcakes enough, in particular for corporate orders!

The two women who work here who appear to be sisters are incredibly rude.

I walked in one day to get a pack of cupcakes for a work function, and one of the staff members were on the phone. She proceeded to make me stand there for 5 minutes without acknowledging me.

She continued to laugh on the phone and didn't address me being in the store. After 5 minutes minutes passed I then walked out from the poor customer experience.

Any cupcake I have had here is too plain in terms of the cake batter and the icing is just pure butter. Poor quality desserts and uncomfortable customer experience in store.

The staff members are passive aggressive and make it a bad experience upon entering.

I won't be going here ever again.

My kids and I go every Friday to the South Melbourne Markets for our JOY. It is the most JOYFUL day of the week. Service is always lovely, the girls are familiar with us now 😉
Cupcakes are incredible and it's become a ritual we will hold on to as long as we can.
We take our own container in too, more sustainable and saves their beautiful boxes for those who need to have them presented nicely, they don't last long enough for us to need one 🤣

Lovely cupcakes that look cute but most importantly, taste great! The winter special Sticky Date with mandarin is amazing. Salted Caramel on chocolate cake and lemon meringue are other family favourites.

Place was nice but cup cakes were not that good. It’s my personal taste, I did not enjoy. Bought chocolate and vegan chocolate, passion fruit raspberry and chocolate. Not that satisfied

Received a cupcake from a clientsaved it for my after dinner desert and was extremely excited but sadly my cupcake was lacking any flavour. The frosting tasted like pure whipped butter with no sugar and any flavour and the actual cupcake tasted of egg and just tasted weird overall like it
Was not fresh. Looks simple and tastes simple.

Every Thursdays I head down to buy Vegan Chocolate on Chocolate cupcakes. Usually have no issues. However since a new lady has been working there on a Thursday night, its been nothing but a disappointment. Last night at 8:50pm we head down to buy our cupcakes. The lady just sits there and stares at us blatantly, while trying to pack up. Wasn't helpful at all, and had appalling customer service skills. We wanted chocolate on chocolate cupcakes that we saw on the back counter, the lady rudely said to us that they were for an order. It's 9pm. And you are closing. And supposedly your cupcakes are baked fresh daily. So how could that have possibly been for an order? It was more of a matter that she was trying to close the shop quickly therefore couldn't be bothered taking them out of their plastic container and selling them to us as they were ready to be packed away, before 9pm.

Food: I loved these cute little cupcakes. They are small, but light, moist and full of flavour. I enjoyed all the different choices and the lady behind the counter was making batches while we were there too which emphasised how fresh these cupcakes must be. I particulary liked the chocolate and marshmallow cupcake.

Atmosphere/service: It's more of a takeaway place, although there are a few small tables, and they were very welcoming when we said we wanted to sit it. Service was great, and I liked the little touches with presentation, such as the cake forks.

Would I recommend it: Totally! Their adorable cupcakes are scrumptious, and they change the flavours each day so you can always come back and get something different.
