You get the feeling you're interrupting their day. Which I guess we are, coming in with my sons aluminium can collections. It's not a high dollar amount he collects together, but at least people could be more pleasant. One worker doesn't even speak to you. If pressed will give monosyllabic replies. Office woman very frosty. One day someone in that place will crack a smile or exude some warmth and I will be shocked.

I have been selling my old scrap to Highett for a number of years now. Working as an electrician means that I often have old wiring and other metal lying around that I no longer need or can use so, instead of throwing it into the rubbish, I have found great comfort in being able to sell it on for recycling. I have always found the team to be pleasant and helpful - it's nice to walk in and be greeted by name. Personal service really isn't all that come these days, so it's nice to see that some good old fashioned customer service still exists.

We use copper wiring daily in our business and have been sourcing our supplies from Highett for a number of years now (I can't even remember how long). The guys always say how happy they are that deliveries come in on time (if not earlier), as they cannot work until the copper has come in. When I make orders, the reps that I deal with on the phone are always friendly and helpful, which is great for me (as I don't have a whole lot of experience with metal) in getting the guys what they need. Thank you!

We melt down all our own metal, and I must say that Highett Metal are great if you're after some high quality scrap pieces. It doesn't matter whether we call up on a Monday or a Friday - they always have the type of scrap we're after in stock. And it's always of a high quality.
