Positives: Wide variety of machinery and tooling, sales staff try to be helpful and the location at Northmead is easy to find.
Negatives: Most machinery is made in China and quality issues are a problem (Speaking from experience). Sales Staff are not very knowledgeable when it comes to tooling or machine capabilities, it's like pulling teeth trying to extract technical information. After sales service is fairly poor with sales staff trying to push new products rather than rectifying issues that come up with tooling or machinery limitations. Over the last 30 years we have been a good customer mostly because of convenience and in the past Hare and Forbes were helpful, easy to deal with and had excellent product knowledge. Unfortunately nowadays instead of being helpful they just want to make a quick sale without taking the time to learn about what their customers requirements are, Not so easy to deal with due to inexperienced sales staff and the lack of product knowledge is an issue. To potential customers I would suggest that you look around before committing to anything with Hare and Forbes, do your own research and don't rely on sales staff. Some products might be ok but we will never buy machinery from Hare and Forbes again.

Machinery is vast and some great tools, but after sales service is a joke. They would rather sell you another machine then Chase up spare parts. Just be carefull what you buy. Try to ask for a list of spare parts they have for the machine you buy otherwise it could be a very expensive buy. and if they try to convince you that they can order the part in for you, they will.. but you will certainty pay for it, my part is worth the price of a new machine. it's only 12 months old😡

P.s I forgot to mention, part shipping was free but have to wait over 6 months. This is Just a warning to small businesses that rely on these tools and when they break they'll loose money because H&F don't keep parts in stock and machine can't be used. or pay over $500 for a 16kg part to come in within 1.5 months, it's flat and doesn't take up much room.
