Great location and friendly owners. The campsite is dog friendly and there is an open area opposite the camp sites where dogs can have a run and swim. There are also plenty of dirt roads and tracks behind the camp ground to do some mountain biking. Facilities are a bit old, but otherwise kept clean and in good working order. The Cafe on-site does good food and coffee. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely wonderful caravan park. We go to a lot of places, this has to be one of the best. The powered camp site was wonderfully situated. I see someone else has complained about other campers who are loud - there were some people having a nice time later at night, but they were not loud or offensive. Only other thing to note was the park is across the road from the lake - it is only a short walk but before we visited I did think the park was waterfront. However, I wouldn't let that deter you because it is only a short walk from the lake and when the water level rises a bit more you would be very close indeed. Quiet and peaceful. And this park is dog friendly! All the dogs were wonderfully behaved, everyone was very conscious of their own animals. I could not recommend this park more.

Stayed here over a lengthy period of time & loved it that much I bought a site so my entire family could enjoy. You couldn't get more friendly & helpful owners than Charlotte & Tommy. They were always there for a friendly chat, a good coffee or just ensuring that you were comfortable or needed any assistance. The shower & toilet block was always kept tidy & cleaned on a daily basis. Likewise the laundry block which has both washing machines & industrial size dryer was maintained & kept clean at all times. The onsite Cafe has plenty to offer & makes an awesome Pizza!! The kids playground is also maintained & secure & often overseen by Penny, the very friendly resident black Labrador.
Tom & Charlotte keep a close eye on things & anyone creating a disturbance is quickly pulled up. Overall Goughs Bay Caravan Park is a great Family & Pet friendly place to stay be it for a couple of weeks or just a weekend away with easy boat access to the Lake just across the road!! Trust me after visiting this park you will make it a regular place to visit & stay! Thankyou Charlotte & Tom for maintaining some old-fashioned values. See you guys soon! Cheers, Darlene & Sofy.

Very poor. Confirmed booking for Easter period 5 months earlier. Before we left called park wanting to confirm booking. No response. On arrival they had no record of booking. Offered a site next to approx 6-8 intoxicated guests. Owners could see we had young family. When we went to complain about loud music, profanities and general anti social behaviour we were invited to leave with no refund. Were told that guests if the park could park how they wanted. At alprox 3am the music was switched off. Profanities continued for approx another hour. We packed up and left at 6am. The park was very dated and unclean. We found alternate accommodation. The cost was more, but tge camping park was clean and guests respected ine another. Will never return and will certainly be sharing our poor experience with others.
